Andre Santos

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Since Santos joined The Arsenal - all the dunkin donut outlets have had a 200% increase in sales.

Just saying.
He's so obvious for us that it hurts. most of us have been saying that for what? 2 years now?
It's a no brainer.
Gibbs if fit can play left midfield sometimes.

One thing bugs me about Santos.
Pre-season we played him in various positions in attacking midfield, and he was ok.
But last season we played him at left back and he was awful.
So why did we not buy a left back this summer?

Because we have a manager who always does the opposite of what is needed. We needed to sign an experienced keeper a LB(Gibbs injury prone)A DM and a quality striker. We did none

One day the penny will drop unless Wenger goes we will continue to sign garbage like Fatboy

If Everton did say Baines could go he will join Utd not a team with ambition of the 4th place trophy

He was roundly booed....! You probably just couldn't hear it because of the noisy German feckers! He was also one of the only Arsenal players not to come over to thank the away support at the end of the game.....probably wisely!

You see it's posts like this that make most of the punters on here not believe you were a face back in the day. No pride in the shirt.

Excuse me for not caring what people believe mush,I just think that if the shirt swap trick had been pulled on say Wilshere there wouldn't be such an outcry from the Arsenal ultra brigade dats all .

Hmmm, not sure about that Herd. The fact that it was half time and we were in the process of getting rodded again at Old Trafford was what did it for me

Unlike some others here the stuff in the tunnel beforehand didn't bother me too much. Its unrealistic to expect players to completely blank the guy. Deep down I always thought at the end of the game there would be a bit of shirt swapping / backslapping too.

Its the fact that Santos had been fucking dire and did it at half time. If I'd played that poorly I'd want to slide away unnoticed at half time, get down the tunnel and expect a bit of a rollicking. I certainly wouldn't be rushing up like some star struck kid to an ex-team mate before we'd got off the pitch

Maybe you're right about if it had been Wilshere - but the reality is I think that someone like Jack would have been so wound up (and you could see he was one that it did hurt) he would never have been so stupid as to do what Santos did anyway

Steveo i agree ,I've said as much myself on here, i hate hate consorting with the enemy b4 during and ewven after ,but if u look at the vitriol posted on here it clearly links the fact he's shit at his position with the fact he was too thick not to accept the shirt .
I've replayed it many times and the more i look at it rvp mugged him off and he was too stupid to not throw it on the ground and spit on it !
I use wilshere as an alternative simply because he was indeed the only person who played like his life depended on it .

ah fuck it hang the cant !

You could tell Santos was shite straight away. We needed a strong defender and we got an attacking misfit who is just wrong wrong wrong and he has a fit bird

RvP didn't mug him off at all. He'd pre-arranged to get his shirt at half-time and then actually chases after RvP (fastest he fucking moved all day) as they were going off the pitch, not like van Staplecunt sauntered over to him and stitched him up.

He's shit and he's a *word censored*, one would be reason enough to get rid but we all know it'll be a miracle if he goes before 2014.
