As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Our board are waiting for Financial Fair Play where, as I understand, clubs will not be able to spend more than they make in revenue each year.
Now what will happen to our cash reserves when we can ONLY spend within our annual revenue?
Will we invest in the playing squad before FFP actually comes into play?
Dividends to Shareholders?
Investment in youth development?
Dividends to Shareholders?
Investment in training ground?
Dividends to Shareholders?
Maybe my understanding of FFP is incorrect but if it isn't then we will essentially have a heap of cash that we cannot use to reinvest in the squad.
Apologies if this point has already been made on the thread...
Think it's assessed on a rolling 3-year period unless I'm mistaken. Also spending on youth development and training facilities are expressly precluded and so too I imagine are dividends (interest payments definitely are). That's part of what makes it a sham, it's only basically spending on wages and transfer fees.
So effectively the money we earned 3 years ago (that is still sitting in our coffers) can only be spent on youth development, training facilities and . . . dividends?
I know where my money is on out of those three in 2 years time

Or, as is my theory, it is sitting in the bank to offset the stadium debt.
A debt that is a fixed term bond, so cannot be paid off early without financial penalty.
As to whether the lender would accept a penalty free early repayment in the current financial climate is a moot point.

Since when did Usmanov have a seat on the board? He cant put any money into the club as he has been frozen out by KSE.Usmanov has as much say in how the club is run as you and i even thought his shareholding is nearly 30%
As it happens DB , we only have 1 billionaire on the board and unfortunately it's the one that doesn't have the disposable finance. His wealth is made up of property asset , it's on paper only.
If Usmanov wanted to buy Falcao because he loved Arsenal nothing need stop him
the ManUre supporting, convicted criminal and alleged rapist just wants a toy or an investment
Usmanov can save Arsenal that is a fact. Dont know why Kronke got involved at all. He is just a useless waste of time and we are wasting alot of time thats for sure.
It's not 'a fact' at all
The possible fantasy of FFP is a far more likely saviour
New owner riding in for 2014 is not going to happen, Kroenke would have to be an idiot to sell before then...

So if it's ok to call usmanov an alleged rapist (thats a new one on me btw) does that mean it is ok to call wenger an alleged paedo now then ?

He was also exonerated of the criminal conviction as the evidence was found to be fabricated and proper procedure was ignored.

LIBEL LIBEL LIBEL LIBEL
Hypocrisy gets right on my tits - the people who throw rape allegations at usmanov and rvp are the same people who would have defended rvp at the time the trouble was going on and right up until the day he left us
I have supported the idea of usmanov owning our club for a long time now and that continues to be the case - this regime is not working so when it isnt working then we have to go in a different direction and usmanov is that direction

You were so offended by people on here accusing Wenger of (moral) fraud, yet you don't mind repeating accusations like this?
