I'm one of the few here who would give Wenger more time
I never get to see those post match comments, must be some masochists amongst you
why watch what always upsets you?

I hear you buddy - real fans have real patience. You'll get your reward when the 3 year contract extension is announced in the Summer

Up until fairly recently I couldn't wait to read any Autobiography Arsene Wenger would write. However, given all the bollocks he's spouted over the last couple of years, when he does eventually release his memoirs I have serious doubts if I'll even bother to get a copy. Given some of the ludicrous things he's come out and said, God only knows what bull-shite he'd fill it with.

After results based issues - transfers, selections, tactics etc
the two biggest issues people seem to have are
1- honesty: Was said the club should, and does, prioritise CL qualification over cups, a thousand dummies were spat.
2- lies: whilst negotiating a fee its intimated we may not sell player we're selling. More spacking.
Reality is, its a results based industry, results are not good enough. Nobody truly cares about PR, Jose is a PR disaster
fans of his clubs mostly love him...

Posted this on the Giroud thread, but it fits here too;
DB10GOONER wrote:Imagine a 4-4-2 with Podolski and Giroud up front, Arteta, Jack, Cazorla and Ox in the middle (maybe Theo up front too as sub?) with Rosicknote and Diaby slotting in every now and again (injuries allowing)? Not saying it would solve all our problems but it would have to be better than this playing players out of position bollocks that Mein Fuhrer currently insists on.

Edgar Davids (accepted, ex-scum  ) on that sunday show with Chris "Do you love me now, Daddy?!" Kamara said a very true thing about coaching/managing; Look at the players you have and fit the system to the players, don't try and fit the players to a system. 8)

Wenker ruined AA23 by playing him out of position. Any hope Ramsey has (which ain't much anyway let's be honest) of ever hitting form is being fucked by playing him as a winger. And now Lord Venger is trying his utmost to destroy Podolski by playing him as a midfielder - and all to prove the WengerChrist does it his way.

You could not make it up. :banghead:

Can you imagine? :banghead:

"I always felt my greatest achievement was the consistancy of getting that 4th place every season. Not the Doubles. Not the Invincibles season. No. That consistant finishing in a CL spot. Anyone can win a trophy, but to do something consistantly shows true spirit, the group strength, and most important of all; moral victory. The victory of morals - this cannot be underestimated."

 :suicide:

Please fucking leave and go write that book. :censored:

The most important thing to happen to Arsenal Football Club in the last 30 years (or dare I say 50 or even ever??) was the appointment of Arsene Wenger as manager.

However the current, most vital thing for the future of the club is to get rid of that very same manager.

Football, it's a funny ol' game.

I think some of the players biographies who quit the club Wenger might make a better read.

Would someone please, Please, PLEASE put this Old Fool down and end our misery!

"Arsène Wenger believes Arsenal can still compete for the title - if they improve defensively.

The Gunners had to settle for a 3-3 draw against Fulham on Saturday in one of the most entertaining games of the Premier League season, squandering the chance to claim all three points when goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer saved Mikel Arteta's penalty from the last kick of the game.

Wenger admits that his team lost their focus when they led 2-0 against their London rivals but is backing them to come good.

"I feel, yes, of course [we are in the title race]. Why not?" said Wenger.

"It is a concern, because we looked quite solid defensively until now, and on Saturday we looked very fragile. I put that down to the fact that at 2-0 up instead of becoming more aggressive, we became a bit easier, instead of continuing to push forward to close them down.

"We let them play, and that was a big problem for us.

"When we were 3-2 down, we went for it and created chances again. The belief is not at its maximum at the moment, but I don't think the result at Schalke helped the team. But we have to digest and come back again. That's the game, that's football, that's sport.

"We have only lost one game at home, and on two set pieces until now. So I think Saturday was a little bit of a special day, but I believe we can defensively do much better.

"If we had scored the penalty, nobody speaks about it. 'You had some dodgy moments in the game, but you won the game.' Three points, that's what we wanted today. We were close to doing it, and we have to do it in the next game."

 :banghead: :banghead:    :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :cussing: :cussing: :cussing: :cussing: :censored:

This winter transfer window is one of the most important I can remember
not just for us, and of course Wenger, also for Sperz, Everton, Liverpool and Chelski
everything can change...
