Next Arsenal Manager *poll*
Next Arsenal Manager *poll*
I was talking with the missus last night about our manager situation, and she said its all well and good getting rid of Wenger, but who would you have to replace him?
Who would you want?
These are my candidates:
Pep Guardiola - Obviously choice number 1 for most fans. He plays the football Arsenal fans would love to see, fluid attacking football, he speaks English well and unlike Wenger, he's not averse to spending a bit of cash. The Prem is more physical than La Liga, and I’m not sure if he could keep up the constant pressing he employed at Barca in the prem.
Dennis Bergkamp - A true gunner, has little management experience but has been learning a lot under DeBoer at Ajax - it would be nice to see an Arsenal Legend take over, but will the Iceman be able to take those long flights in the Champions League
Roberto Martinez - Martinez has a great level of tactical ability, whist he often loses his best players (not unlike a certain cannon based club) he is able to perform consistently year in year out. He has an eye for a player, and Like Wenger he's not afraid to buy unknown players and develop them. He hasn't won much as a manager, but then again, what had Pep won before Barca?
Jürgen Klopp - Took Dortmund to two successive titles, as well as the double last season. Has the best of both with a solid defence as well as an exciting strike force - They beat R.Madrid at home and were unlucky not to beat them in Madrid - a Solid choice and my pick for Arsenal boss.
Dragan Stojkovic - I actually know very little apart from the fact that he manages Grampus 8 and Arsene has said himself he sees him as a successor to him. Arsene's Choice.
Other? AVB? Mancini? Ole Gunnar Solskjaer? De Boer? Anyone Else?

It's been done on here a few times before with various names.
Personally I'd rule The Dennis out because he is too inexperienced and the flying thing would be a massive problem in the CL.
TBH I'd take almost anyone else on that list just be shot of Arsene. I don't hate him the way some on here do, but I really REALLY want him gone.

Guardiola will have been snapped up by the time Wenger bows out in 2016, and Klopp will have no interest at all in leaving an exciting and energetic Dortmund team to come to us.

I would sack Wenger tomorrow or have him shot whichever is the most convenient and costs least
I would bring GG back until the end of the season, I would have opposed this in the past but he could instill some pride and respect amongst the players for the club they play for, and unite the fans, which due to Wenger's length of time in the job, will prove hard for any new man coming in.
I would then look towards the likes of Moyes.
I wouldn't go for Guardiola, I don't like him and don't think he would come anyway.
PS I would also have some of the players shot if possible before gg came in.

I wouldn't sack him now. he'd be stuck with a stopgap manager that wouldn't have the liberty to spend in january anyways
Re: Next Arsenal Manager *poll*
Pep, klopp, moyes or martinez would do for me tbh - unlike our midget mod, I do hate wenger with a passion for the state of apathy and loser attitude that he has ingrained in the modern day AFC

I voted for Pep.
But I do wonder just how good he really is? His huge success came when manager of probably the greatest club side of all time. I reckon even I could have managed them to a fair few trophies. He also bought a few massive duds at Barca and I just wonder if he would be able to revolutionalise a club like ours?

Klopp would be my first choice. While I want Wenger gone, I don't want us to do what Liverpool do and just go through a series of lower managers who aren't up to the task.
DB10, no thanks. I love the bloke, really do. But as has already been said, what if we draw Shaktar in the CL, Europa league?
Stoikavic? The fact that Wenger wants him is enough to put me off.
How about Bouldy? Just as a stop-gap mind but if he does well then why not?

pep, then mourinho, then db10.i think we should grab pep now while he's available instead of forever admiring him from afar like he does with us if rumours are true.mourinho's teams are well organised and god fecking knows how badly we need that,id take boring victories week in week out if it brought us silver wear.lastly bergkamp,it would be nice to think that he might get the 'de matteo effect' with the players instantly responding.its nice to dream,we all know Wenker is only going out of the emirates in a coffin
