Traveling to Londontown! / and more?

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Traveling to Londontown! / and more?

Post by dPmunky »

Hey fellas, so I'm making a trip to London this year for Christmas. My brother and I have been supporters for a long while and have always talked about making the trip and FINALLY this year, it's going to happen!

The plan is to catch the Boxing day and Newcastle matches the week of Christmas but I want to know what else should we take in from around the city? I'm sure we'll do some of the more touristy stuffs but I'm one who likes to hang out with the locals, ya know, eat, drink, and play where they do.

So chime in... :D

Shadwell DLR station, Friday lunchtime. Just about prayer time is okay.

Anytime after seven pm, Leytonstone High Road, near the Thatched House (local landmark). Get to meet the nice European gals. Bring fags and a rubber. Accommodation is free. Usually requires breaking into a motor for a comfy seat though.

G.A.Y. bar in Soho. Nice chatty folk and always a show to see.

Welcome to London mate. Bring a prayer mat and leave all hope back at home.

If you have a large supply of pound coins and want to stay central, the Flying Scotsman is a good laugh if you're pissed already

things to do in london

- circle line drinking challenge! how much can you drink before a dodgy british transport police wanker arrests you for boozing on the tube?

- pissing on white hart lane! always good and adds to the "ambient stench"

- burger king leicester square - gourmet burgers cooked to your liking - HAVE IT YOUR WAY! (as long as it's a whopper)

- oxford street primark - tour this museum of tat which has been dubbed the "most clothes manufactured from cheap labour per square inch in europe". OOH WEE!

don't forget to bring a brolly! :barscarf:

Travelling from Canada at same time... this is relevant for me ... I would rather not return with an STI though haha

Shadwell dlr is a favourite haunt of mine, I always end up on the platform shouting 'shad well army' and 'I fucking love you gumbo'
