WENGER: I could have signed Ibrahimovic

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

WENGER: I could have signed Ibrahimovic

Post by spid »

Thanks be to God, for Ibra's sake he didn't. He'd have destroyed him.

How many young careers has Wenger had an input into so far. How many have succeeded? Anelka, thats the only one I can think of. And he had a few years in the wilderness.

Given the love that Wenger shows his picks, Bendtner, Vela, Jeffers, Eduardo, Chamakh, Suker, Reyes, I feel that Ibra dodged a bullet there. He would have had his big fat contract at 17/18 and done nothing, just like the rest.

For the great Arsene to try and associate himself with Zlatan's stunning performance last Wed's against England is just more of his usual bollocks.

P.S. I have to say I was wrong about RVP, can't believe how good he is for Man U. He looks way better with them than he ever did for us. And to quote ANR, I don't think he will kill Welbeck, he will make him better.

I'm sure Arsene knows best?
