Re: FRIMPONG TO GO ON LOAN
i think everyone is abit harsh on this kid, everyone is slating him for what reason, he is a player that loves to get stuck in and is well up for the fight and also loves the club,.......basically what we have been crying out for for a number of years while we had other players who darent put a tackle in before fucking off else where as soon as some1 else came in
guy hasnt had much of a change due to injuries but was playing well for wolves before his last injury, Yes he is a Arsehole on twitter etc but wtf does that matter at end of day

Re: FRIMPONG TO GO ON LOAN
So we are just forgetting about his attitude then? What about half the things that come out of his mouth, or more importantly how he doesn't seem to know what he is doing when he is on the pitch. I'd rather be shot of the stupid clod to be fair.arsenalmorris wrote:i think everyone is abit harsh on this kid, everyone is slating him for what reason, he is a player that loves to get stuck in and is well up for the fight and also loves the club,.......basically what we have been crying out for for a number of years while we had other players who darent put a tackle in before fucking off else where as soon as some1 else came in

Re: FRIMPONG TO GO ON LOAN
Agree with arsenalmorris. Frimpong is getting criticised for stuff he does off the pitch as opposed to on it, as he hasn't had enough games to really warrant stick or for a definitive decision to be made with regards the latter.

Re: FRIMPONG TO GO ON LOAN
I think it's probably to do with the fact that the stuff he does off the pitch and his "following" is based on what he's done on the pitch, which amounts to the square root of fuck all...I Hate Hleb wrote:Agree with arsenalmorris. If he was just some kid trying to sell "Dench" t-shirts out his bedroom and on twitter how far would he get...
It's the culture of the celebrity and he's taken advantage of it...

Re: FRIMPONG TO GO ON LOAN
It doesn't bode well that he can't break through the current squad - which most people would agree is pretty mediocre and one of the worst we've had in 20 years

sorry who would he be playing ahead of?mike_stefan wrote:It doesn't bode well that he can't break through the current squad - which most people would agree is pretty mediocre and one of the worst we've had in 20 years

Re: FRIMPONG TO GO ON LOAN
Well that's hardly fair mike_stefan. He has had two serious and long-term injuries and so hasn't been in a position to challenge for a place in the team.
Clockendal,
But that's it, he hasn't had enough games for people to make a judgement of him as a player so they are using his off field stuff as a stick to beat him with. Fair enough to critise him for maybe over-doing the Dench bit before he has established himself in the team, but it's hardly fair to do so on his perceived lack of talent when most haven't had an opportunity to witness it yet because of the reasons stated above. Will he go on to make it at Arsenal? I don't know but there again nor does anyone else at the moment.

Re: FRIMPONG TO GO ON LOAN
Frimpong to Charlton has been banded around on twitter for weeks, hardly in the know stuff.
Shite attitude and had an awful comeback game at Reading. His youth team replacement Eisfeld put him to shame.

He's challenging Cazorla, Arteta and Wilshere for a position. In what world are they mediocre?mike_stefan wrote:It doesn't bode well that he can't break through the current squad - which most people would agree is pretty mediocre and one of the worst we've had in 20 years

Re: FRIMPONG TO GO ON LOAN
What you say is probably right, he's not really had a chance between injuries to establish himself, although from what he has played I haven't been overly impressed by his attitude and/or discipline. It might not really impact on his footballing ability and certainly didn't result in his injuries but his whole persona off the pitch is embarrassing and basically a microcosm of modern football: stupid, rich and arrogant with a false sense of achievement/entitlement. No wonder it pisses people off, this guy thinks he's a don on the basis of playing youth football with Arsenal and although some people may think he's a 'legend' or a 'true Gooner' I just think he's a twat who obviously has aimed too low if he thinks he's made it.I Hate Hleb wrote:Well that's hardly fair mike_stefan. I wasn't implying that Cazorla, Wilshere and Arteta are mediocre. I certainly can't compare him to Cazorla but let's not forget that Arteta has been out on and off and Wilshere has just come back. Anyway, I said he is finding it hard to break through - which need not mean be a first teamer. We have Rosicky, Diaby and Arshavin unfit - and those 3 are definitely mediocre performers - and he isn't even ahead of them in the pecking order.

If we had a half decent manager he would be out the door by now but as we all know.

Re: FRIMPONG TO GO ON LOAN
george knows... frimpong pretty well so...
Firstly i think the biggest and most important missed here is that he has been at the club for a long time , over 8 years and has worked his nuts off to earn his contracts and has also spent years developing through the different teams with Jack and wants nothing more than to play in midfield with him.
Secondly, would fans rather sing a fukin song about shit driving like santos or having been caught boozing in a night club or caught in a bookmakers rather than slag him off because of the Dench brand that has been developed and the t shirts and caps etc sold- what is the problem with this ?
Lethal Bizzle the rapper is a gooner and his cousin and all they have done to promote this is clever marketing and him showing his brain and not just resting on his alleged fat salary- which it isn't.
His next contract is crucial and the club will not chuck loads at him at the moment because of his injuries ( we have all seen what has happened and the criticism with Rosicky and Diaby etc ) so he has gone out on loan to try and prove his fitness and that he deserves a new improved contract.
He will not join Charlton permanently and Jan 1st rather than Jan 31st has been done to give the option of a further loan deal somewhere else during January if not quite ready or needed this season and yes Wolves might be the destination or perhaps Ipswich.
leave the kid alone and let him try and prove himself , at least as many have said he appears to have the passion and determination to succeed
