Villa away pubs/transport

Villa away pubs/transport

Post by mattyj3nks »

Hi all,

Just thought i would give out some information as im local to Birmingham and attend the away match every season.

If your travelling to the city centre by train its best to then get the local train to 'Witton' station which runs from Birmingham New Street and takes about 10 minutes. Witton station is about 5 minutes walk from the away end and you will pass the away fans pub for the day which is the 'Witton Arms' which is usually full of Arsenal fans. The pub does cost £2 to get in but it usually a good atmosphere and it only 2 minutes walk to the away end.

What time are all other Arsenal fans planning to get to the pub or around the ground?
I think il probably get to the oub about 1pm and expect a good crowd in there by then.

Imagine we'll drink in the Square Peg, we don't always last too long in Spoons though as they don't like singing. :banghead:

Be in Birmingham about 12.

I'll get to New Street at around 15.15, I'll probably head straight to the Witton arms after that
