As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
He is waaaaaay past playing in PL games. He did ok in the cup against lesser oponents last time but he was shown to be at least 5 yards off the pace in the PL games. It was a nice encore last year. Why have a legend tarnish his legendness (is that even a word? ) by struggling to keep up? Do any of us really want to see him getting abused or jeered by our wanky fickle JCL contingent because he is being played in a PL game and struggling to perform at that level?
We need to drag ourselves out of the past and BUY a full on experienced proven top class goal scorer, someone that will hit the ground running and blam in 20+ PL goals a season.
And most importantly, would this not "kill" Chamakh, Arsene? Huh?

We can hope mate
I have a full firearms licence and a Browning BAR rifle. I'm for hire. Might I help, old boy...?
Yes in a cup game or two to protect Olivier if continues to perform like he is now.
No if it's our tight bastard club's way of not going out and buying a Huntelaar or Llorente. FFS Huntelaar is available for £7million pounds in January

So you are gonna shoot him in the kneecaps then eh ?
Had did well last time and has been in very good form in the USA this season.
Good option for the last 20 minutes, which I see as a positive option, plus for the FA Cup Third round.
Not going to cost us much, and he is currently training with the club anyway.
In the long run Quartz don't you think it would be more beneficial to give the Chamster some game time seeing as he'll be the one we'll be forced to turn to if Giroud picks up an injury in the key period in February/March when Henry has long since returned to the US?
No.
Chamakh at this point appears nothing to do with our long term plans.
He has played no significant part in the team for 18 months, with the exception of a brace at Reading.
If Giroud gets injured I expect Wenger to use Gervinho and Walcott in attack.
If I was manager I would use Henry on loan and bring in a permanent replacament for Chamakh, probably Huntelaar, and let Chamakh go ASAP.
Fair enough about Chamakh but we both know if we get Henry on loan there's no way Huntelaar or any other striker of note will be accompanying him.
We may yet get Henry on loan and another striker permanently, who can say?
I just read that Gervinho will be away in January for the African Cup of Nations, so that is another reason to sign Henry on loan.
I voted no, as I would have done if asked at the same time last year. I loved the goal Henry scored against Leeds last season, but it was because it briefly took us back to happier times.
Now that moment is gone I dont see any merit in doing this again. But Im sure it will happen again as its the sort of thing that sums up the lack of ambition at this club.

I'd hit them too - once you're not around. The fucking glare off that bald head of yours would put off a Marine Recon sniper ffs!!
always yes. even on crutches. just having him on the training ground is enough.
the guy is a true Arsenal legend and no other English Club can ever say they had the best player in the World. we did and we should be honoured to have him pull on the Red & White again.
If only for his presence in training. Some twitter bloke, (can't say who, mc-cough-dowell) is adamant that Huntelaar will be joining us in Jan after rejecting a new contract with Ajax, Madrid, Milan er I mean Schalke
