As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

How would the fans react if the club did offer him the 10k per week deal and he still turned it down ?
Well I think most of us would expect him to turn it down........given it would be 65k less than what has already been offered
I meant 100k per week of course
If the club offers him that money and he leaves then I will be satisfied that they have done everything they can to keep him. That's up there with the highest wages we've ever paid anyone and I would certainly not propose that we pay the 130k per week or so that we were rumoured to be offering Van Persie.
If he gains a more regular place in the team and turns down 100k per week then frankly he can go and be a mercenary somewhere else. He claims to enjoy playing for the club and in interviews always suggests he wants to stay, so if he turns his back on that we'll know he's another lying bastard in the same mould as Nasri
We lost Highbury to compete at the very top. Forget City and Chelsea its Man Utd who we need to follow. Ops wesold them our best player and we are miles behind.
CAN WE HAVE HIGHBURY BACK PLEASE YOU LIED.
I will say it again loud and clear Theo Walcott is going to be one of the players of the next 5 years for another club.
Lets put things straight Arshavin and Squallachi between them earn 130,000 a week. Hell yes its mismanagement.

I have been against giving Theo a big fat new contract for a long time now, but Saturday's display has finally won me over, and I think the club should offer the 100k a week deal.
My only concern is that he may just be 'doing a Rosicky' and go back to being injured & average once he has signed with the red n white pen.

Well he must have been given the new contract already, cos he's injured, dodgy shoulder......again
But I do think we have to keep him mainly because we won't replace him and are already short of goal scorers and genuine pace, the latter he has in spades and the former he ain't bad at tbf.
Wenger's comments in the press the last week or so aren't particularly reassuring for those who are desperate for Feo to sign. All this we're not going to sell him and we'll risk losing him for nothing indicate no deal's looking like getting done any time soon and he's quite probably fucking off on a free in July.
That said, Wenger is a well-known bullshitter over contracts after watching Flamini, Nasri and van Staplecunt's deals run down despite his constant assurances that they would stay, so maybe Feo's actually on the verge of signing and he's just addicted to misleading the fans?
Hopefully it is true. Read somewhere about his house is in the market.
Was in the sun Internet page seems now to be taken off a bit weird .
Yah. JVP was also selling home before he left us.
There will be a lot of demand for Theo once transfer window opens up. I am pretty sure Fungus will be interested along with usual suspects like Pool and Chelski.

Not necessarily.
They've probably been talking to Theo's agents for months, letting him know exactly what sort of wages/signing on fee he'd be getting if he ran his contract down.
Theo won't be stressing in March or April if nothing has been officially agreed. He'll know full well what deals are on the table.
Sure I just read a thing about Walcott contract on Arsenal.com saying he wants to stay and the last contract took 6-7 months to sort out but has now disappered .
