WTF did Arsenal have to do with that incident and why should we have been banned from playing in the 1990 European Cup after winning the League at Anfield. True, but my recollection was that there had been trouble earlier in the day between both sets of fans and that the cause of death was - in the main - resulting from a wall collapsing, and the failure of UEFA to effectively segregate fans....

As I said before, I'm sure if you spoke to any Arsenal fan who (like me) was there in 1980 to watch us play a final in the same ground (5 years before the disaster!) they would tell you that it was unsafe and unfit to hold a major football match. TBH I think Liverpool fans have been a bit of a scapegoat and there but for the grace of god that it didn't happen to us....

EDIT: And I'm saying that even knowing that we missed out on Europe 6 times because of the ban!

Do not think we are in any position to laugh at this, innocent Arsenal fans got ambushed by bigger groups of Roma fans back in 2002.
Does not sound like it was the Spurs firm.

Feels like hypocrisy with heavier punishments handed out to English clubs over other clubs though.
