As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
I'm a big fan of Di Matteo, to be honest. He is absolutely classy in all his dealings, he is an astute tactician and a very personable man judging by the response of the players to him both 1. after he took over and 2. after he was let go.
Abromovich has been appointing managers left, right, and centre, and yet the only one who really got him any significant success since Jose was the one who just happened to be given the job temporarily.
I hope the signing of Rafa - a manager I don't rate very highly - blows up in all their scummy Chav faces.
The best part about this deal is, one of the few people in the Chelsea camp I liked is now gone

I'm not going to start slating di matteo but lets be fair here and admit that the most significant thing he did when in charge last season was to allow the older c**ts in their squad (pikey terry, fat frank, cashley etc) more say and it was those older players that pulled the team together more than the egg head did. The italian probably felt, with good reason, was that the best shot he had of landing the job full time was to get cosy with those same players that played such a huge part in the sackings of di matteo, scolari and some believe that the pikey captain played a big part in the sacking of the portugese w****r currently in madrid.

looked like ObiMikel wanted RDM out after the game
they're a proper gang of backstabbers there
Let's enjoy a Juve/Shakhtar draw in the final group game then sit back and watch the fireworks as the said Chav scum accuse another ref of being racist.

FFS the bloke took a mediocre side on the brink in the CL to win the thing. Then he was given the job full time, what was the point if Abramovich was gonna fire him a few months later.
Abramovich is a classless arrogant twat who has ruined our game. His money fueled the boom in footballers salaries and Arsenal are paying for it right now just to hang onto their coattails.
Preety much spot on there Nut. Abramovich needs to consider the fact he WANTED attacking football..................

Haven't read the whole thread, but anyone else thought they heard Rafa saying "gob shite" on the radio yesterday when talking about the Chelsea job.... I'm told he actually said "top side", but I still think he was talking about Abramovitch !
