New Commercial Deals

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

"As part of the deal Arsenal’s home will continue to be known as Emirates Stadium up to 2028"

I was really hoping we'd get to properly name the stadium once the original deal ran out :banghead:

£150m, I bet Kroenke and Gazidis are indulging in a joyous reach-around as I type. Without commenting on the actual figures I would say it's yet more propaganda spewed by the club in suggesting that it's a deal for shirt sponsorship before admitting lower down the statement that it's also for all training kit and for our stadium to be named after them for 8-9 years longer. We all know it's not £150m worth of new investment so forgive me for not getting aroused.

Looks like just an extension on the naming rights, I think it was locked in til 2021 anyway.

Also all training kit and "a number of marketing rights", as well as the continuation of our Dubai Soccer School. Not saying that this isn't still a good deal but it's not just £30m a year for kit sponsorship alone, it's eaten into other potential revenue streams.

Seems like a good deal. I don't care what the stadium is officially called, it only matters what we call it. How many people called the old place by it's official name?

BTW, does this mean we're stuck with Nike?
