Gooner Legends

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Gooner Legends

Post by BIG RADDY »

Just been having a tidy up and came across the Gooner Legend cards that used to be inside the fanzine.
I looked at them again and again and I just can't for the life of me think of one player today who would fit into this category.
The Invincible team are missing from this list (why haven't those upsatirs printed these ?)
For those of you who don't know of these cards:

Charlie Buchan
Herbert Chapman
David Jack
Alex James
Eddie Hapgood
Ted Drake
Cliff Bastin
Joe Mercer
Jack Kelsey
Joe Baker
Don Howe
Frank Mclintock
Bob Wilson
Ray Kennedy
Charlie George
John Radford (my hero)
Bertie Mee
George Armstrong
Pat Rice
Liam Brady
Kenny Samson
Charlie Nicholas
Michael Thomas
David Rocastle
David Oleary
Anders Limpar
Paul Davis
George Graham
Alan Smith
Paul Merson
Ian Wright
Steve Bould
Nigel Winterburn
Tony Adams
Martin Keown
Lee Dixon
David Seaman
Dennis Bergkamp
Patrick Viera
Arsene Wenger

Now can anyone tell me of whom plays today would fill that list?
