Why? He's booked a player for diving, not given Chesney a card for handling and generally had a good game. We on the other hand have been utter dog shit so far.

Pretty mundane first half to be honest. Seemed like a lot of miscommunication between players coupled with a difficult surface to play on as well.
The good news is that at least now we have some quality to call on from the bench, compared to normal

Well that's 45mins of my life that I will never get back

Chesney's kicking is woeful, jenks has reverted to the headless chicken he was when he first arrived, the ox is making too many poor choices whilst podolski looks like he can't be arsed  In fact mert, cazorla, kos and giibs are only ones that have been decent imo

I thought it was a decent half from us tbh. Thought we weathered Villa's run-around-like-headless-chickens approach rather well and looked dangerous whenever we got at their back 4.

I expect us to find more space as this game goes on.

Edit: Must confess though to posting something similar at half time against Norwich (although not identical, we were truly dog shit first half against Norwich). I am not responsible for anyone who pays attention to my opinions 8)

I bet Arsene's giving them all the hairdryer treatment right now!

Not a Ferguson-esque bollocking mind you, an actual towel and blow dry so the poor little buggers don't look all rain sodden for the second half.

"So, going anywhere nice on your hols this year?"

On the plus side I think I've learned the Romanian for diving. It sounded like simulashi. :D 8)

Seriously ?? We are playing a team 3rd from bottom in a poor league and we only created one good chance in 45mins  I am not going to go over the top bashing them but that was a very poor half IMO

I don't know, we're competing and all that, but I do find us quite dull these days. There's no pace or outstanding performer in the side, so there's no one to get excited about when they're on the ball - it's all too slow, predictable and one paced. And far too many misplaced paces.

They're trying hard though, so I can't complain about the effort - just the quality isn't really there.

Still, from what I've seen of us and Villa so far, I reckon we'll win this 2-0 8)

These teams still need to be beaten and any bunch of elite athletes can make life difficult if they run their nuts off for 45 minutes. Patience my Irish brother 8)

does anyone know how many games we've won with Ramsay in the starting line up?

including him in the team, is like having Patrick Vieira playing against us - you lose all pace and rhythm...

seriously, what has coq got to do to drop in ahead of that useless welsh twat ?

have we got to wait until 70minutes to get him off ?

Yeah, both wingers have been poor. Shame as there's space on the flanks to bypass Villa's pressing.
