Arteta, Cazorla and Wilshere

Whilst I am all for giving players time to adapt from overseas leagues, I was saying last season that Santos was in no way, shape, or form a left back*.

Particularly the shape bit!

*Though I think he is OK in left midfield.

It's a pretty significant condemnation on the state of our squad if we've missed a left-back who's actually, let's be fair, not that good, and also has spent the majority of his career on the sidelines with some niggle or strain.
