Everton away Pub & Parking
Hi all,
Ive booked my Everton away tickets and am wondering where the best place to drink would be.
My mate is driving up so was thinking about trying to park near Stanley park somewhere.
Im cant find any information about a designated away fans pub so was wondering if the Arsenal fans would be drinking in 'The Arkles' outside Anfield as this is the away pub when we are away at Liverpool and its only 5-10 minutes walk to Goodison Park.
Ive not been to Goodison before so i would appreciate an help so i can plan where i need to go pre match.
Thanks

When we've drive we park in a leisure centre off the main road from the motorway heading towards Goodison. I forget what it's called but it's about a 10 minute walk to the ground, costs £5 and allows for a quick exit back onto the motorway afterwards.
I believe some do drink in The Arkles, last few times we've ended up in the Wetherspoons about 5 mins from the ground, down the road that runs along the back of Goodison.

Thanks buddy, il have to find out more about this parking then as im hoping to be up there at about 5pm on the day.
I'l just see nearer the time what the majority of people on here will be doing regarding which pub to drink in before match, the arsel or the wetherspoons.

Walton Leisure Centre Dan. Great place to park, 10 min walk and like you say quick getaway afterwards. Get there reasonably early though cos it does fill up quicklyDan_85 wrote:When we've drive we park in a leisure centre off the main road from the motorway heading towards Goodison. Walton Leisure Centre it is then......and then straight over to The Arkles for pre match pints (from 5pm)!!!
Re: Everton away Pub & Parking
They are very security conscious up there. Often you'll find someone offering to actually look after your car while you are at the match. That's personal service for you....!

Thats right. the young locals, in their shell suits, riding their BMXs are very friendly as they walk/ride alongside you back to your car ready to thieve you or cut you with a stanley knife. Tip - Don't walk down the side streets at night!MK Gould wrote:They are very security conscious up there. I will be getting to Liverpool about 5pm and will be parking at the leisure centre but then i want somewhere to have some pre match beers with other gooners.
Obviously the city centre is too far away as we will be parking near the ground, i know people drink in The Arkles for Liverpool away but i saw someone said on here its just full of red members with no atmosphere.
Any thoughts?

Try the Valley on Everton Valley Road. Very friendly as you enter, everyone stops and takes a good look at you. Full of local scousers, so keep quiet and so don't get too much money out of your pocket.mattyj3nks wrote:I will be getting to Liverpool about 5pm and will be parking at the leisure centre but then i want somewhere to have some pre match beers with other gooners.

Alternatively, watch the "American tourist" scene in the film Trainspotting...SPARKSY wrote:Try the Valley on Everton Valley Road.
