I Hate Hleb wrote:From The Standard's report on today's press conference:

Wenger is reported to have up to £50million to splash in January but he warned that he will continue to spend with caution.

“We have a good squad,” he said. “They deserve success and they will have success. We will be on the market if we find the real top, top, top player but we have no fixed number, we look just at quality.”

Suppose that's the official confirmation that we can close this thread down now, agreed? :rubchin:
this just means we're gonna sign a 17 year old wonderkid :box: :box:

I think we're going to be very active in one of the two transfer markets in January?

Can anyone guess which one?

It doesn't matter, he's a technically superb player. Possibly even a top top quality player. I'm not surprised you fail to understand SteveO given that your experience of professional football management spans less than 30 years.

Yes, Sagna to Inter Milan, Theo to Liverpool and a pre-contract for Vermaelen to City. :barscarf:

You got it buddy - "there are two transfer markets - one external, and one internal for the development of young players"

I just love that quote. I'll get it framed when we finish 8th

The Internal Market - a new film starring Mr Magoo

I love it! He will get fit and play one game which should convince us all that he is the next coming of Christ. The transfer window will slam shut and Diaby will air-kick a shot and end up out for the season. 'The muscle-fibres in his thigh are a little bit jaded after the intensity of the 5 minutes that he had on the pitch. He will be a big loss.'

I also enjoyed reading his big up for Rosicky. To be honest he did well last year, but another sick note that can't be depended upon to play for very long without sitting out for the year after a hard to diagnose injury.
