Arsene Wenger today hailed his current Arsenal squad as the best he has ever had and insisted they can maintain their push for silverware on four fronts.
23rd September 2012
ARSENE WENGER has astonishingly claimed his current Arsenal crop is the most complete squad during his time at the club.
What makes this all the more painful and angering is that *word censored* like hanson come on the radio etc and start going on about the scum, the *word censored* has never forgiven us for ripping the scousescum open in 89!
Swansea WERE the better team today...but to have scum *word censored* like hanson and co rubbing it in...

jenko made a mistake. that's not why we lost.
we lost because of poor tactics. had we been 3-0 or 4-0 up the goal wouldn't have been an issue.
if it's not the manager why are west brom 4th with basically a team of journeymen and prospects ?

The fact is this Manager can't even motivate our overpaid players to beat the most average of teams and that is nothing to do with the money he has to spend. On paper we should have won easily today - but not with this clueless manager. He should be given no money in January as he would not know what to do with it. Fact is he is finished.
Give it a rest...was it Wenger's fault Jenkinson shits his pants and gifts Swansea the 2nd goal? No, that's on Jenkinson, the same player that played out of skin at the home of the league champions.
The fact Jenkinson is our back up to Sagna is Weners fault. Buy cheap and pay for it later. Not good enough for Arsenal.

Don't blame Jenkinson. Wenger plucked him out of nowhere to play for a club he loves. He puts 100% into it and he cares.
If he is not good enough for Arsenal then it the person who bought him, just renewed his contract and plays him that is to blame. The kid had played 9 games for Charlton FFS.
I think you are naive Demun. Wenger has been given significant funds for wages but has delivered an inept squad that quality players are desperate to leave. People who are obsessed to protect Wenger throw the board out as sacrificial offerings but Wenger and the board are inextricably linked. You can't remove the most influential manager in Arsenal's history from decisions that are made at boardroom level. He is very much part of it.
I think you are right that the next manager will struggle to achieve top four. That is beacuse he will inherit a squad that is diseased with Wenger's arrogance and lack of ambition. The game did change when the oligarchs came but we shot ourselves in the foot by investing so much of ourmoney in wages rather than a more balanced transfer policy. Wenger has made too many poor choices and has run out of the gratitude that he has been trading on. The man needs to leave at the end of the season and the painful rebuild needs to begin.

This has me bubbling over with rage, I can't actually believe someone can write this shit.
If you can't see what's going on at Arsenal, and has been over the last few years then I don't know what to say. Wenger has his faults yes, but overall he's worked wonders to keep us consistently in the top 4 over the last few years where he's CLEARLY been hung out to dry by the board. Football changed the day billionaires came in and started buying trophies, and the fact we've remained at the level we have during that time is an achievement no matter how you probably can't see it. I promise you this..when Wenger leaves, we will not be in and around the top 4.
I don't believe Wenger is as good as he was, but him leaving will not see us progress like you think we will.
If that's the case then why do you have respect for a man who knows he's hung out to dry and says nothing? Maybe his huge yearly wage is keeping him quiet
Because he clearly cares about Arsenal....he could have jumped ship to Real Madrid, PSG and Chelsea years ago, but the bloke loves Arsenal. Look, I'm not a massive Wenger fan to the point I'll defend the indefensible (the press conference last weekend was absolutely embarrassing), but I've got a real issue with these fans who circle like vultures every time we go through a spell where things are tough. It's hypocritical...we get pissed off with players who don't show commitment and don't appreciate the shirt like we do...but we'll happily talk about sacking a manager who's given 15+ years to our club whenever the going gets tough.
What and get sacked a year later for failure?! I don't think so. He knows what side his bread is buttered on. I love Arsenal too, it does not mean I should be the manager. Comments like that prove that people really are scrapping the barrel now in defence of this man. Arsenal FC NOT Arsene FC.
lets not blame jenko ffs, players make mistakes but jenko you can be sure will be as devastated as the rest of us tonight, hes a gooner thru and thru and a future england right back, the fact is the TEAM dont want to play for Wenker and those who do are being let down by the pile of shit currently wearing the red and white

And he made the mistake when Swansea was 1 up with somethin like one minute to go so to be honest his mistake didn't even really matter.. not that much difference between losing 0-1 or 0-2.
dont blame jenkinson he ws under pressure with no help around him blame the person who sat back and and watched as michu sprinted forward past him and then just pulled up

Thomas - I sent you a PM like a week ago. Did you get it?
Up till his slip Jenks played well...one of our more 'effective' players today. Him and Shez who made some great saves otherwise it could have been nil - 4.
