i am 43 and i've been watchin football in the flesh and on TV since i was what 4/5 ? and i still can't figure out why any manager would take walcott, gervinho, giroud and podolski and think that the best thing to do is put gervinho in the middle, and podolski out wide and leave giroud on the bench ?

why not gervinho and walcott out wide and griroud and/or podolski in the middle ?

seriously why ?

He did finally realize his mistake and put Mertersaker in as striker. I thought that was genius as it works and is effective....




He should have just brought Coquelin on to preserve the point at home against the might of Swansea!!

Spot on. Wenger believes he is some sort of genius that see it completely different from us normal folk. Some fans still want to believe the guy is a magician.

Wenger is the face of all your displeasure, I understand that. Yes he picks the players. Yes he is supposed to motivate and all that bollocks. That doesn't mean that the players are all therefore excluded from blame!!

I think Wenger is as at fault as much as the players.

At the end of the day, the issues I have with Wenger are those relating to tactics/selection. Giroud not starting today baffled me. The lack of understanding and arrogance he shows for the fans frustrations are also incredibly annoying.

This is what most people are saying on here. I have never wanted an Arsenal manager to be sacked - not Neil, not Howe, not Graham. This is the first time I have ever felt like this. None of us want to feel this way about an Arsenal manager, we have been driven to it. His arrogance is astounding towards the fans, which just rubs salt into the wounds.

I agree with you Thomas , never wanted a manager out before either . But it is the board and the owner too, my hope is that a new manager would not put up with selling his best players and spending fuck all (as in net spend)

The fault also lies with those that sold out to Kronke , now where are they buried , let's dig them up !

Lukaku is going to doggy-style our defence. He is the closest you can get to Drogba and, like Drogba, he will be our downfall for many years to come (unless we get a tactically intelligent manager like Moyes).

Of course the players should take some blame, but who is responsible for not getting the best out of them? He needs to get the message.
