"Sack the Board" - anti board protests.

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

"Sack the Board" - anti board protests.

Post by clockender1 »

there i said it.

this deserves its own thread.

The Board is as culpable as Wenger, who must go as well but we need Gazidis and Hill-Wood to resign.

I would like to see David Dein to return if he wants it.

i'm quite happy to put in ten quid if someone wants to make and take a banner.

we need to put pressure on the board and make them resign Kroenke will never fire them as the investment is doing well, so we have to put public pressure on them now.

we should protest before AND after the west brom game at the ground, regardless of the result.

time to take our club back and SACK THE BOARD.

Forever proud to be The Arsenal.

Would Dein get rid Wenger? They're best friends, go on holiday together, we'll be stuck with Wenger I reckon if Dein ever returned!

#arsenalsacktheboard

i googled 'arsenal sack the board' and justarsenalnews.com (whoever they are ?) has it and wenger out too.

after 15 games we have won 5. as the yanks say, we are 5-15 or 0.333.

anything under .500 is unacceptable for a top six club.

just to get to .500 we need to win 14 of our remaining 25 games. at the moment we are on course to win 8 or 9.

under this board we are 5 wins short of a top six finish.

that is the facts my friends.

Have to question a bit of your maths there mate, 23 isn't half of 38. Plus there's no way we're going to be 20-30 points (ten wins) off top 6, we'd get relegated.

yes mate - you are totally right and i just changed it.

we are projected 5 wins short of winning 19.

i checked and 14/15 wins in total will get us on average 7th.

we need 15/16 wins out of 23 to finish top four , which is typically 20/21 wins.

that's where we are, after seven years without a trophy.

To paraphrase Neil Kinnock’s 1985 Labour Party Conference speech...

I'll tell you what happens with impossible dreams. You start with far-fetched philosophies. They are then pickled into a rigid dogma, a code, and you go through the years sticking to that, outdated, misplaced, irrelevant to the real needs, and you end in the grotesque chaos of an Arsenal Board and manager - an ARSENAL BOARD AND MANAGER!! – hiring executives to scuttle round the world trying to get sponsors rather than buying players, while handing out insults to its own supporters.

I am telling you, no matter how entertaining, how fulfilling to short-term egos - you can't play politics with the peoples club, and with fans hearts or with their aspirations.

this is what needs to be said to them and it comes from the great man that is vince lombardi

"Winning is not a sometime thing; it's an all the time thing. You don't win once in a while; you don't do things right once in a while; you do them right all the time. Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing.

"There is no room for second place. There is only one place in my game, and that's first place. I have finished second twice in my time at Green Bay, and I don't ever want to finish second again. There is a second place bowl game, but it is a game for losers played by losers. It is and always has been an American zeal to be first in anything we do, and to win, and to win, and to win.
