Swansea game thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Was thinking exactly this. He actually slows down the closer he gets to Michu :? :banghead:

Unforgivable stuff as well from Jenkinson for the second goal. Just hit it back into the box you idiot. Or if nothing else is on, kick it back towards the goalie. But I'm sure all he got from the gormless has-been tonight was a comforting arm round the shoulder.

Out for a throw in would have been easier.

Out for a throw in?

We were losing 1-0 in stoppage time... you don't play it safe and put it out for a throw in! I know he fucked up, but he was trying to gain a yard of space to find a pass, and ended up fucking up as he was too eager... but to kick it out for a throw in when with a minute or so left would have been nuts!!

Decline, we are in decline and it doesn't look like anyone can do anything about it.

Wenger is at least 2 years over-ripe for replacement. If there was a regular, genuinely critical appraisal of his performance by a CEO, or the Board, then he may have gone a couple of years before then even, once it became clear we were constantly coming second best to Ferguson and Manyoo. But that didn't happen, and now we have an owner who is only interested in maximising his investment. Wenger is perfect for him, keep Champions League, develop players that can be sold for big bucks (Theo then Jack will be next) and the "Brand" is strong enough to keep the money rolling in even if we spend a season or two outside the CL places. (eg Are Liverpool on their uppers? Don't think so. Here in Asia their "brand" is still strong despite underachieving since they won the CL)

So basically, we are F'ked. Even though us supporters are tucking into the huge shit sandwich that is being humped by teams we should be twatting without breaking sweat, they don't care. They'll ride it out. There are loads of "customers" willing to by your seat if you stop coming. So get used to it.

I think only the threat of relegation may force a change. Drop out of the PL and you drop out of the global coverage and that would make a major financial hit, along with losing the PL money itself. Stan might act then.

he's a fucking :censored: . Whether or not he could have done anything, whether it could have changed the result, it was laughable.

New contract? Yes please! :barscarf:  :banghead:  :banghead: :barscarf:

First time that I can ever remember yesterday not listening to or watching an Arsenal game in some shape or form

Took the advice of a couple on here who have already made that 'second step' i.e. not just not going to the games (the easy bit) but actually stop watching or listening. Went to a non-League game with a mate and at the end they read out the scores over the PA system and there it was "Arsenal 0 Swansea 2" - felt much less painful than putting myself through the ritual of watching it. Haven't read or seen anything about the game. Was it as bad as the two pathetic defeats to Norwich and Schalke ?
