Re: Arsene Wenger - For/Against/Indifferent?
I think Arsenal are doomed for the next 5 years at least. Wenger is simply making Kronke too much money and Kronke does not care about Arsenal.
It would take a massive reduction in the amount of fans spending money and coming to the games and the simple fact is Arsenal fans will still follow the team through thick and thin.

We can make £30m + easily for Wilshere and £20m+ from Ox in a couple of years. Vermaelen will definately be sold to City as a Kolo replacement, I can guarantee you that now. After that, we have very few assets to strip, maybe Gibbs as a Cole replacement for Chelsea? Gnabry in a few years time?
Cazorla is getting on a bit, but I can see City wanting him as a rotational player for Silva.
Wilshere is just what Man U need in their squad and would complete the first choice England midfield at Man U.

Re: Arsene Wenger - For/Against/Indifferent?
Whilst some of these might indeed jump ship, Vermaelen ain't good enough for City, Gibbs to replace Cole? don't make me laugh and as for Carzola, he has gone right off form, lets just hope he isn't another Arshavin, flattering only to deceive.N1Goon wrote:supergeorgegraham wrote:I think Arsenal are doomed for the next 5 years at least. I can see Sagna being the next to be sold.N1Goon wrote:

Mate, I have not mentioned Sagna and Walcott because it is a foregone conclusion they are both off, not even worth talking about them anymore. They are Inter and Liverpool players respectively.
Also, well said Bully, he is a proper Arsenal fan. I wonder what he did to his Van Persie shirt?

Re: Arsene Wenger - For/Against/Indifferent?
there was a good piece on bbc.co.uk by phil mcnulty their chief football writer who put it very well - scraping 4th this year is not good enough after scraping 4th last year, bearing in mind the pedigree of the players bought and the money spent.
he basically said that the fans have lost faith in AW's tactics and ability to manage the team anymore.
which is spot on.
i think this is the first time when every paper has called wenger out and said 1 pt from 9 and 5 wins from 15 is not up to Arsenal standards even pre-Wenger...
