As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Yes and unsurprising who it was stepping forward - the biggest class act at the club and a bloke that spent several years playing under a manager that would never have stood for excuses about being 'jaded' before winter's barely started.
Erm, numerous players have come out with similar sort of stuff in previous years.
This is just standard soundbite shit, nothing new here.
"We owe it to the fans" "We must stick together" "The responsibility is ours"
If you're going to attack Wenger for coming out with the same old shit, I don't see how this is too much different.
This isn't having a pop at Arteta really either, he's just answering a journalist's question. But really it is pointless listening to any of it, it's all bollocks.

It's a load of old waffle. Arteta and the rest of them needs to stop talking bollocks and start playing for the shirt.
Saturday was a f*cking joke. Fair play to Swansea, but they didn't really have much to beat.

Usual shit they trot out. Only, its been happening for years now.
Being a 21st century football player has got to be the mother of all customer service jobs. Get paid (a shit load) for doing not very much and issue a generic sound bite once enough of the 'customers' complain about the shitty service.
Fuck Arteta. Fuck (what) Arsenal (have become) and fuck modern football.
no longer listen to a word that comes from any of them anymore. talk is cheap. the actions from the players and the club speaks volumes for everything atm. beat spurs 5-2 the platform was set for them to kick on and we've fucked up yet again. the only half decent result coming at goodison but even that shows where we are now. scoring after 50 odd seconds and probably having 1 decent chance after that, it show our "super quality" to hold on for a draw the fixtures we've had a few years ago you would of been lookin at us going on a winning streak however now everything fixture is filled with treperdation. it doesnt even mtr if we're home or away either way we're playing shit

I like Arteta. He is a classy player, cool headed and is doing his best to shield our fairly shit CH's every game. BUT this is just spin bollocks as said above. Yeah he was probably just answering some hack bastard's retarded question but still, best to say fucking nothing and do something on the pitch.
Modern football, the new home of the meaningless soundbite.
is this because arteta is still relatively popular??
Vermaelen, Theo all have recently come out with stuff like this, there is a clear rotation policy, next up will be jack.
I'm not bothered, we know the real reason for this, its the lack of quality, yes we're better than the likes of norwich and swansea but frankly, we're still a club with huge revenue but poor players.

Err..... I think you've all - SteveO excluded - missed the point!! I'm talking about the fact that he accepts that the fans had a right to voice their displeasure at the performances - unlike the manager - and that it's the players' fault that we're angry, not the schedule, fatigue, various automobile parts or even Oil Barons and Arabs!!

To be fair, I think Wenger said something along those lines on Saturday as well. I remember it sounding as if he'd been made aware of the response to his patronising arrogance the week before.
Might be trotting out the same old but Arteta has been one of the very few factors that have given me any pleasure in watching Arsenal in the last 14 months.
