Spackers, the question isn't would he join, or would the Board sign him. The fucking question is "Would you want him to replace Wenger next season?"

The common argument from the Wenger sheep is that Mourinho hasn't the class to be Arsenal manager. They must reckon berating the fouth official for 90 minutes, flinging water bottles and treating the fans with contempt like Wenger does to be "class".

How can anyone say no to Mourinho?

Only in our dreams would he want to manage us anyway.
Kind of what I mean. He would never join us us unless Usmanov took over and gave him a blank cheque book.

What blank cheque book did he use when he won the UEFA cup and Champions League with Porto????
They should not have won the Big Cup as you may remember a bullshit disallowed goal that would have put them out. Look at his spending with Chelsea, Inter and R Madrid - it's at a stratospheric level we couldn't sustain.

For footballing reasons I wanted to vote yes. He has the winning mentality, that we have lacked for too long, and his knowledge of football tactics is to be applauded however, this bloke does not have the class to be associated with Arsenal FC. He plumbed new depths of shame whilst at the Chavs and his behaviour since has not inspired me to have a change of mind about him.
Form is temporary, class is permanent.

My other kop out is that the board would never pay him the going rate to assemble a title winning team/squad.
Really don't understand this comment given our history (Henry Norris and even the great Chapman weren't adverse to using 'under-hand tactics' to get their way) and even more recently with how the Board deceived the club/fans to get their multi-millions. :? :?

IHH

No.

Do not want Mourinho.

My personal dislike of him outweighs my lack of faith in Wenger.

I want Wenger out, but not Mourinho in.
What soul the club has left would be almost entirely vaporised by appointing Mourinho.

There are a stack of things I'd like, but it doesn't mean I'm going to get them! Yes, I'd have him as we would win and not concede 615 goals a season but it's kinda moot as we won't get the bastard.

Rodders. I wouldn't consider myself to be a Wengerphile sheep but, I consider a referee getting death threats and a bloke gouging the eye of another from behind as cowardly. Something I would prefer my club manager not to behave like. I agree it is embarrassing to watch Wenger act like a petulant brat on the sidelines.

That's because the clubs had the resources and he was allowed to use them. On the otherhand at Porto he had less yet still was successful. We might not have as much money as those others mentioned but he'd certainly not be taking over a club without a pot to piss in!!

I used to be this way. But now I'm so frustrated by Wengernomics (my new buzzword for all things Wenger) that I would take almost anyone in to just get rid of the man. :|

TBH, if I was running the interviews for new Arsenal manager I'd only ask 2 questions;

1. Are you a tottingshite fan?
2. Have you a qualification in Economics?

Answer "no" to both and you are the new Arsenal manager! 8)

Can't argue with those points Hlebby. Maybe I might fine tune my remarks and say that I do not identify with football and it's ownership/management in recent years.

Spot on. Wenger is one of the most classless managers around.

Understand but there are alternatives to Mourinho.
Klopp, Guardiola, Garde, Laudrup, Moyes, Allegri are all worth considering.

His resources at Chelsea were bankrolled by Abramovich, at inter by Massimo Moratti and Madrid carve up a disproportionate amount of TV cash (along with Barca).

The point I'm making is we don't have a sugar daddy (available) for that level of outlay.
