Wenger DOESN'T Know

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I will take that bet!!!! Assuming we are not including Amsterdam or Emitrates. I will bet you £20 that we will win a trophy this season or next under Arsene.
Accepted!

I'm not talking about specific passages of play, I'm talking about mental toughness. Something that Arsene has never instilled in a side. And that's why we get bullied out of the title by the likes of Man Utd, Bolton and Birmingham year after year. And his response? Signing the ultra-lightweight Walcott!

I think we should start judging Wenger the day we find out our true financial situation.

you say most players would trade their mum ? well yh hleb is a great example of that isnt he.

an yes i drank quite a bit in the game[/quote]

Hleb did trade his mum to play for us...he just wants her back now!

Keep drinking, it numbs the pain. Tomorrow everything will be fine, except our season will be over, oh bollocks.

We played blinding all season in 99, but came up against a United team who also happened to be in blinding form. Both of those FA cup games could have gone either way, and we only lost the title on the last day of the season. Seriously what the fuck are you smoking?

Up to this season I would agree but that has changed this season. The walcott isssue is seperate. He can not play right midfielde only ever plays well when upfront. Arsene does not to realise that. Ditto Hleb is not playing well he needs some competition in his position and Eboue....well I am not even going to go there!

I support a football team, not a business.

Check out this discussion related to a gooner article...I don't think the actual cash to buy the players is the problem.

There was money available at the start of the season and in the January transfer window, but Stubborn Wenger decides not to do anything. Time for him to go.
Get rid of Wenger!? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

Well you're not mush of a fan then, because you're just ranting for the sake of it, instead of trying to make reasonable posts.

I obviously appreciate what Wenger has done for us, but I think he's gone as far as he can go, and it's clear that there's no "third great team" in sight.

There comes a time for everyone to move on, and I think at this stage, it would be best if we had some fresh ideas in. There's no doubt in my mind that we can't attract a top draw manager.

If you don't agree with that then fair enough, but that's how I feel!

See I have no reason to believe the board. I frankly dont trust Edelman and Hill Wood when they say there is money available. However if indeed money is available and its Wenger's arrogance that stops from being successful, then he should go. But like I said we can only speculate about our financial condition.

Talk about an over reaction. Yes I'm as gutted as everyone else we lost today but to get rid of Wenger is the most ridiculous suggestion.

The phrase knee jerk reaction comes to mind.

In pre-season, Wenger said that he did have money available to buy players. But said, "Who would I buy"?

Which is fair enough, but the other top three clubs are finding top players to buy and being successful, so why can't we?
