Bruce Springsteen is "The Boss". Arsene Wenger is "The [Insert Expletive]".

Re: Mourinho yes or no?
I watched the Doc on ITV 4 last night. It really kind of looks like he is heading to United after Ferguson leaves maybe as his long term job.
In 10 years he has won 23 major trophies to Fergusons 48. They worked out if he keeps going at this rate he will bag around 55 when he retires at 65.
No doubt this guy is one of the greatest of all time and he is not coming to Arsenal.

That job will be filled before ferguscum even announces his retirement - I have no doubt that the two of them c**ts have agreed to moaninho taking over and the manure board will be already clued in as well. I suppose it makes sense really cos they will need a strong character to take over from ferguscum and there is nobody more arrogant/cocky than that portugese tosser

Re: Mourinho yes or no?
I would say yes, not because I want him, because his history shows us that next club he will manage, will won champions league. There is always one flop in between, first celski now real. Oh yeah and because I want Wenger gone.

Re: Mourinho yes or no?
Mourinho with our transfer budget? no chance. Although i'd love to see one of these "super" managers work within a regular clubs budget and see how they get on - it's just not going to happen.
Mourinho is a short term appointment for anyone with a big enough cheque book. He'll come in, make some noise, spend all your dosh then fuck off after about 2 years. You might win a league title or a cup but then the club is left to pick up the pieces of his spending.
If this floats your boat and you're into this sort of appointment then my comments are not for you!

True, but look at the core of players he would inherit with us;kiwomya wrote:You must remember the players he inherited at Porto?SteveO 35 wrote:Remind me how much he spent at Porto again ?kiwomya wrote:Mourinho with our transfer budget? no chance.
Chesney, Kos, TV5, Wilshere, Arteta, Cazorla, Gibbs, Sagna/Jenko, Podolski, Ox, Walcott.
The core of a fairly decent team, if managed correctly (fitting the system to the players strengths and actually playing the players in their best positions, NOT trying to wedge the players into a system they cannot play properly).
To that we could possibly add Mert, Geroud, Coquelan, and maybe even Arshavin and FrimpSong - who knows what we might get out of those players with a new manager with a more pragmatic approach, tactics (!!) and a better set of man-management skills?
And you can bet your bottom dollar he would add a couple of top class players too.
As I say, Moron-hio would not be my first choice but I'd take him ahead of Wenger nowdays.

Re: Mourinho yes or no?
His record is second to none. He arrived at Inter and turned old players into winners. Inter were always just losing out in Italy but not with the man. I hated hated him while he was at Chelsea but now see a winner a class act and somebody who says what he is going to do and does it.
Complete opposite of the lies we hear from our boss. Im sure Mourinho finds it amusing that a manager can stay at a big club and does not have to win a thing.

What - the same players that hadn't won a league title in the 3 years preceding Mourinho's arrival?

Hlebby, you are not suggesting that the change of manager might have been the catalyst for their success, are you?!!I Hate Hleb wrote:kiwomya wrote:You must remember the players he inherited at Porto?SteveO 35 wrote:Remind me how much he spent at Porto again ?kiwomya wrote:Mourinho with our transfer budget? no chance.

Re: Mourinho yes or no?
Yeah, but you forget DB10 that he only achieved that by spending the squillions of pounds that helped them win the treble that season (including the UEFA Cup) and then he spent squillions more helping them retain the Title and also win the CL!!
It's obvious he can't do it without a Billionaires money!!
