We need third!

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Thanks to Citeh failure now our famous trophy by finishing fourth moved to third.

It's a very real possibility. The rest of Europe is getting stronger, especially in Germany. Wouldn't be surprised to see this the case in a year or two. Fourth might suffice this year, but probably not indefinitely.

Pretty valid point if you look back at the next set of co-efficients to go from 2008-09 where we had 3 semi-finalists and 2 finalists again compared to pretty much just Bayern for Germany.

It's okay though because van Staplecunt will propel United into the latter stages even though they're not a great side and thereby allow us to continue scraping CL qualification with 4th place. Wenger you crafty bugger. Arsene knows :barscarf:

Scare mongering. So we've dropped from best in europe to number 2... ahh! we're doomed! :roll: :lol:

With teams like Citeh, Chelsea and Man Utd around, I think it's a bit OTT to start worrying about a dark age in English football.
