POLL: Buy Huntelaar in January or Llorente in the summer?

Most of us agree we need a new striker.

Henry will 99% come on loan in January, but we may also buy a permanent striker.

Very hypothetical question, but if we are in the market for a new striker, and the options are limited solely to Huntelaar and Llorente, would you take Huntelaar in January, or prefer Llorente when he is a free agent in the summer?

Of course, we may not even bid for either of them, or might buy Huntelaar in the summer etc.

But because Llorente is perceived by many to be the better player, am interested to see what people think.

I would go for Huntelaar in January, as I think we are desperate.

I'd pick Huntelaar - whether in january or the summer - every time as I've never been that impressed with Llorente.

i would rather have llorente hence the vote however surely most teams across europe will be after him. would be more than happy with huntelaar, though just been looking at his record, if you take out his prolific season last season his past 3 seasons he totalled 8,7 and 8 goals in the league for his respective teams of real madrid, milan and schalke.

Wenger should not be given a penny to spend - he cannot be trusted with it. And if he brings back Henry it shows what a joke we have become.

Huntelaar. Dutch flair. I don't trust his stats in his seasons at Real and Milan. Hardly had any time to settle in let alone some playing time. Almost never a starter, but I remember he still did well as a sub. I'd have Huntelaar every day in front of Giroud and Chamack. He's probably not the fastest player around, but he doesn't need ten chances to score, unlike most of our squad. Also as said earlier, we don't have the time to wait this summer. I know there's this plan to let things go all tits up and keep as much cash available for the next manager, but I don't believe it's a good solution. I know it might be utopic, but I still hope that we can get rid of Wenger without having to fall down to mid-table. I'd rather the next manager takes on an Arsenal team with Huntelaar and Giroud up front, with lets say 5th place and Europa league or why not Champions league, than he ends up picking the wounded Giroud's and Gervinho's in an 11th place Arsenal team.

I think Llorente is a better #9 for our style. Huntelaar is more direct and a classic CF, but as we've seen we don't really play to that style. Llorente can bring other players into the play.

Personally it's a no brainer....if we were to sign one of them then it simply must be huntelaar. What would be the point in buying another battering ram type of centre forward ? Whether you believe giroud is good enough or not, surely we would be better buying a stiker to play alongside him or someone that offers something different ? I also agree with hlebby when he questions whether llorente is good enough - I'm not sure that he has the mobility or technique to play on a pitch as big as ours every 2nd game plus he certainly aint no goal poacher. Doubtless I will be lambasted for suggesting this but huntelaar seems the better option to me although I would prefer a pacy striker (like darren bent )
