Goodbye Sagna

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Mark my words when Sagna's gone, Jenkinson will suffer an alarming dip form and have only Yennaris as back up. Then poor old Jenko will get lots of stick and it'll set him back a couple of years
I heard our mate Paddy Barclay defending the club's position on this and he even went on to say that Sagna has been usurped by Jenkinson as a player!!  :coffeespit: :coffeespit: :coffeespit:

And to think I once thought he was a really good, intelligent and thoughtful writer.

We are loyal football supporters that are reduced to hoping that our best players are not sold to an English club..It's not that we are competing with the English clubs ( i.e . both Manchester clubs ) that we have sold to recently. The reason we don't want our best players sold to English clubs is that we see them every week on TV.
Arsenal FC have become so unambitious in terms of football that all we can hope for is not having to see our top players playing in our league for another club.
If the Sagna injury record is being used as an excuse for not giving him a decent contract then there is little left to say. Frustration beyond belief, disillusionment beyond belief....And it won't be getting any better. :banghead: :banghead:

Pathetic if true, how do cripples like Diaby and Rosicky get offer tons of cash and plenty of years and one of our best players gets given that? :banghead: whats the fucking logic in it?

Whats all the fuss about

We won't win anything if he stays or goes, it is what it is, he is getting on, he has broken his leg twice very recently, we don't have access to his medical records or x-rays that could well point to a player that is going to be crocked again soon and is palying on borrowed time.

I think he is decent but don't rate him as highly as most seem to on here.

Lets sell the fukin lot of em I say, start again

Still never mind, ODL will appease us by getting Gervinho signed up to a new 5 year deal :barscarf: :barscarf:

I read the comments suggesting that sagna was to be sold but I didnt really believe it even when I heard stories about him being left out of the calander but after reading this surely it aint no coincidence that these stories are out there ? Sagna is without doubt my favourite Arsenal player at the mo and I believe him to be the best right back in the world at the mo and I will be gutted, absolutely gutted, if they allow him to leave - RIP AFC
Agreed mate.

Thanks for everything Bac. Go and win trophies now. Legend.

The sad thing is, offering Sagna a 1 year contract is exactly what I'd expect these days, so I can certainly believe it's true

In any case, selling our best, most experienced players and gambling on youth has worked so well for us in recent years, so why not sell him? I'm sure it'll be a seamless transition just like all the other times... :|

Yes in his usual arrogant tone tonight he was condemning Sagna as 'the latest PL player deeming himself worthy of a pay rise, as if he were a central part of some trophy winning machine'

Yes a trophy winning machine managed by your Lord and Master, Patrick. Honestly the bloke is the most pompous tosser in journalism and the biggest Wenger apologist in the book

If we go on a little run towards the top four and reach the Capital One final he'll be back in his column "Barclay's Account" (even a shit name) jerking off over his hero
