I'm just waiting for the journalists to confirm that they misheard Wenger, and we are actually lining up an offer for Louis Saha. Mid thirties and permanently injured, 60k per week but with great mental strength and one of Fergie's cast offs.

Let's say we get Zaha and Huntelaar, that would be a satisfying transfer window for us, for a change.

Add in a new manager to put the icing on the cake!
Moderately satisfying providing that we add at least one of either a decent back-up keeper (does anyone really want to see Mannone or Flapper at the business end of the season or throwing away cups?) and holding midfielder to give Arteta a break.....and hold on to Walcott and Sagna

If we sell either of those two, it will be another shit window

For a GK why not go for begovic at stoke obviously not as an understudy but as our NO 1 and chesney as the NO2

We should of signed Begovic from Portsmouth a few years back.

Holloway had a right go at Arsenal in his press conference today - he declared our public statements admiring Saha as very unprofessional. Of course he is wrong on this cos a club like ours that has complained and even reported other clubs for behaving in this manner in the past, wouldn't be so hypocritical as to publicly "tap up" a player under contract at another club would we ? :? :rubchin:

To be fair to Wenger, I'm not sure he's said anything about Zaha at all :? in the press conference this morning, Wenger was asked directly about Zaha, and he basically said he's a good player, but wouldn't want to name names as to who are targets are. He gave nothing away whatsoever.

The gutter press are just being mischievous and setting Wenger up just as they did a few weeks ago with Holloway (again). Sadly, people keep falling for it hook, line and sinker :?

More transfer news to cheer the soul this morning - One Arsene Wenger......There's Only One Arsene Wenger :barscarf: :barscarf:

Manchester United are set for an £8m move for Stoke goalkeeper Asmir Begovic. The 25-year-old Bosnian has also been linked with Liverpool.

Full story: Daily Mail

Arsenal have not held any contract talks with Theo Walcott since August. Liverpool want to sign the England forward, 23, in January and Manchester City and Chelsea will consider taking him on a free transfer when his current deal expires in the summer.

Of course not, that wouldn't be the Arsenal way would it........ remember those photo's of Wenger on a brazilian beach meeting Baptista ?
I am sure Arsene just wanted to work on his tan and happened to co-incidently bump into the soon to be signed as an Arsenal player brazilian.
