I'm just waiting for Lord Wenger to trip out this statistic citing our "remarkable consistency" when we somehow manage to fuck it up between now and the final

:barscarf:
Jesus given that it's hardly taken seriously by every club the fact that we've only made 2 finals in those 10 years is piss poor.

Although saying that we invariably play piss-easy teams in the first two or three games and sometimes beyond that.

With no game until the following Monday there's no reason why we shouldn't have a strong-ish side out. If players have played loads (Arteta, Cazorla, etc) then leave them out but other than that there's no need to risk it. Giving youngsters a chance is a bonus but let's be fair, this is a cup quarter-final and about our only chance of a trophy this year, let's fucking make sure we win the tie.

i reckon the team tomorrow will be vito-jenks-djo-squa-meade-ramsey-coq-rosicky-ox-arshavin-chams hopefully he will put some experience on the bench just in case, i imagine eisfeld will get some playing time too, looked good when he came on against reading.

Tbh all jokes aside that's a pretty strong side particularly when you consider the opposition. Although the defence is crap. Presuming that Rosicky will start I guess that means Eisfeld will get 30+ mins off the bench. I personally don't see the point in starting Ramsey but realistically Wenger obviously still rates him in some capacity so reality is he's probably going to be involved. Not sure he'll play the Ox from the off but guess we'll see...

even with the weak defence you'd like to think we'd be too strong for them, part of the problem i feel is that the squad players are either bereft of confidence or playing time, chamakh is our only other recognised centre forward and he has started what 2-3 games. i know he is piss poor but cant really expect anything from them when they aint getting any game time. the midfield 3 is nailed on i think. i wasent too sure over the ox but i couldnt stand the prospect of chamakh and forehead together again

Yep most of our fringe players are clearly too shit to be sold for decent fee's and nobody wants them anyway, so we are left with them hanging around with little motivation as they will not force their way into the first team and are just seeing out their contracts till they depart to the likes of Watford a la Almunia.

on the team news…
“The only new player who is not available is Olivier Giroud. He got a kick on his back on Saturday. He has not recovered and he will be out."

:barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

Looking forward to the game even more now - bring on the Chamster, our Capital One hero !

I'm not surprised Giroud's back is fucked the amount of time he spends arching it looking skywards

Giroud,Poldi,Sagna,Jack Tets, and Santi should be nowhere near that team tomorrow.

Play Jenkinson and Meade as FB's. TV and PM. It's league 2 a bit more route one defending of which Squids and Djourou are f'ing useless at.

The midfield TR7,Coquelin and Ramsey. Front 3 ofthe lazy russian left,Gnabry right and unfortunately Shisha pipe boy in the middle.

2-2, our class( ) to tell in extra time

We will piss all over them tomoro nite and I am predicting a 5-1 victory - I don't want to seem disrespectful to the bantams but there is a 3 division gap there that I would expect to tell. I know in days game by you could talk about the romance of cup shocks but those days are rare nowadays and factors that used to be great levellers like dodgy pitches are now no longer evident.
Personally I would like to see eisfeld get a start tomorrow night

Like to see Eisfeld and Coquelin involved from the start, Gnabry and Akpom as subs.
Yennaris is injured though, a player I rate.
