Bradford match thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

considering that literally no team has ever conceded a goal from man to man i agree
So, by that, I presume you think it works? We've conceded more goals from set-pieces than ANY other team in the prem!! You work it out!

Possibly but I don't want those pricks ramming it down my throat

These 2 jokers commentating on beIN Sports are just making this match even more worse than it should be.

We'll win (hopefully) but it'll be messy

BBC text is lying - says we are at full strength. not with Ramsay and Gervinho in the team...

"sacked in the morning" - can't ever ever remember that being sung at an Arsenal manager - not even at wrexham under GG..

getting the run around by a third division team. pitiful.

i'm starting to understand how spuds fans feel.

useless *word censored* in charge. :banghead:

Ramsey is awful, if he was better we could loan him back to Cardiff to get experience and confidence.

we would concede more playing man to man. it's not the system, it's the lack of discipline from the people implimenting it.
man to man you have to react to attacking movement, if you have defenders who are slow to react or are prone to lose concentration(ie our whole team), man to man is suicide.
if you impliment zonal, then at the very least you know your players will be starting in the position you (as coach) feel they'll have the best chance to defend the set piece.
if they STILL get sucked out of position (sagna for bradford's goal) there's not a lot you can do.

if you have a defence and midfield full of switched on, intelligent players that can anticipate movement and react in an instant, man to man would work.

my main problem is people blindly and boringly parroting what pundits say without actually thinking it through

Where is Walcott, is he really injured or is Wenger treating him like a naughty boy over his contract? I don't remember the mad bastard doing that with RvP....
