franksav63 wrote:Hmmm.... these bleeding hearts that say ''we must support the players'' etc etc.... yes, it really works doesn't it? I think the fans over the Arsenal are too fucking nice, it must have something to do when they got on Eboue's back (quite rightly also) in the Wigan game a few seasons, if these players are playing shit or not putting it in then give them both barrels, let them know and the wanker in charge that we won't put up with the shit they produce and the shit that he continues to buy and play.

Look how this support is helping Giroud, supported to the hilt and still looks fucking shit, Rosicky, applauded, his name chanted as he warmed up and then makes a half hearted attempt at getting back for Michu's 2nd goal last week, it's all too cosy over there and it's the fans faults imo.
Agree with this 100%. How many times do you hear our players say what a great place it is to play football - Rosicky said the same last week.

I went to the Capital One game at home to Coventry and Giroud's name was sung out loud all the way through despite the fact that the useless fucker hadn't hit a barn door in his opening games and was offering nothing to the team. He'd just replaced a fans favourite too, something that at Chelsea or Liverpool would have had the fans baying for blood after 2 or 3 games without a goal. The ground is full of daytrippers these days that are happy to sing along to whatever the latest song is and go home happy win, lose or draw - mainly because they have no emotional attachment to the team whatsoever. Its all about 'the matchday experience' these days rather than passionately supporting the team of your birth.

I would say Arsenal fans are FAR more patient than any of the fans of the other top clubs in this country. Liverpool fans singing Dalglish's name 2 months into Hodgson's reign, Chelsea fans booing their team off the field after a 0-0 draw with Fulham despite being reigning European champions and having won trophies galore when 20 years ago they were a yo-yo club on the verge of bankruptcy, United fans wanting Ferguson out in 2003 and again in 2005 and booing Ferdinand when he wasn't sure about signing a new deal.

Honestly in all my years of watching Arsenal, I can count on one hand the number of times I've heard genuine fan discontent on any sort of scale. More than ever its a club of the upper middle classes these days and players and management are afforded much more patience and respect as a result. Lets see how 'patient' those lovely chaps at United are when Ferguson eventually turns it in and some other fucker dares to go even 2 seasons without a trophy.

I'm finding it difficult to dislike Gerv with the same intensity as I dislike Arseshavin. Strange. :?
Must be the Eboue syndrome. He just comical.
He really is awful though. And you knew right from day one that he was awful despite those saying "give him a year to adjust" :(

I'm with you on that. Arshavin clearly has outstanding talent but coasts along wasting his career and our time and money - the fact he's been misused by Wenger is obviously true but only goes so far as an excuse. Gervinho on the other hand is just woefully lacking any sort of ability whatsoever.

Also agree with northbank, by his own abysmal standards Gervinho was marginally less shite than usual yesterday. And yet he was still atrocious. Put him anywhere in the final third and he has the composure of an epileptic on the red carpet.

I really don;t know why we ever signed him///// :?:

IMHO. he really is abysmal. When you get to his age and virtually every decision you make on the field seems or is the wrong one you really wonder what we are paying him for... Espeically when you consider we had AA23 already on our books and in poor form. Totally pointless signing as I said at the time.

THing with the meerkat - is that he has (had???) Oooodles of skill and IS (Was???) "Class"...and had he been played in his proper position I think he would have delivered the goods....so wenker has to shoulder much of the blame - he (meerkat) became disinterested and disillusioned and gave up - ...he shouldn't have I agree, but .....as for klingon he's just shyte - he has speed/pace, he can (sometimes) beat a player..but doesn't have a clue on how to pass, cross, bring in the other players and his timing is utter shyte...his inability to use what pace he does have to quicken our attacks/counter-attacks is appalling....he's as bad as Ramsey for slowing the whole team down...he gets to the 18 yard box...and plays it back or loses the ball - ie: He IS SHIT!.

45 minutes has just elapsed where he has proved himself to be far worse than either of the two lads up front for Bradford.

Jesus - he was shit when he signed and has somehow managed to get worse

Still as Arsene says "Gervinho saved us from dizzy prices"

Yep our €11m bargain !

Im typing this at HT in the Bradford game and he may put in a semi decent shift in the 2nd half but this guy is a fucking joke.

That miss before HT after being anonymous the whole half against league 2 opposition :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

If he was an animal he'd be put down out of kindness.

I am seething with rage at Wenger, not Gervinho, as it isn't his fault he's at Arsenal.

I am struggling to put my rage into words...

To make matters worse I have just seen an advert with Santa watching Van Persie score for United on his laptop...

of course it is, who signed him, gervinho is not doing it on purpose like say the fat russian, he is just genuinely rubbish. We can blame wenger and his scouts for this one.

Baba is 100% correct on him and maybe he really only did watch french football. But he recommended joey barton, julio cesar and marko marin as well, so he was still a **** scout.

Gervinho has all the worst attributes of adebayor, eboue and walcott rolled into one

Always offside

Shit and could not score in a brothel

Always makes the wrong decisions

He is the worst player to wear the shirt

Wenger may have polished lumps of coal into diamonds in the past, but you just cannot polish a turd.
