Yes, sadly. And this is not a new thing, it's been a problem for years.SaltaireBantam wrote: did they think they just had to turn up?

Re: Bradford match thread
Well done to your lot Saltaire. You matched us and good luck in the semis. There is something rotten at our club and tonight is another example of the lack of direction, discipline and fight in this club. It permeates down from a manager whose arrogance is shocking. We need an overhaul starting with Kroenke. There is no ambition at Arsenal, just a hypocritical moral smugness.
I liked Wells, good little player but your No 9 was all over the place tonight. Put in a real shift. Pissed off with my club and the greedy men who feed off it.

Not going to happen pal, not over 2 legs. We will get a spanking and it will not reflect well on Arsenal. Meant what I said about Arsenal, got a buzz out of seeing them that I wouldn't get out of seeing say, Man City, another club (only 35 miles away) who would not have sold out their allocation.clockender1 wrote:cheers Bantam. best of luck in the semi's. i hope you win.
But, that tonight, is not an A.r.s.e.n.a.l team. it's nowhere near. Who cares? Wilshire and who else?

Thanks, but Hanson (9) was stacking shelves in the local Co-Op 3 years ago!Cockerill's chin wrote:Well done to your lot Saltaire. You matched us and good luck in the semis. spot on Dan. i believe that is exactly what he does - which is fine if you have the intelligence of bergkamp or Henry or Messi, but a defence and midfield need organisation, structure and discipline.Dan_85 wrote: They're clearly told to "go out and play" and in Wenger-world this will apparently be enough to defeat the opposition as he seemingly believes they have some divine right to win if they hold onto the ball longer than the other team.
i have no doubt that this team is not coached in anyway at all by AW this year, maybe earlier.
adams, bould, dixon, winterburn and parlour all knew their jobs - AW's earlier teams were built on that and the intelligence of players like petit, vieira, bergkamp, edu, over overmars, henry etc.
this lot are just told 'express yourself' i bet you....

Re: Bradford match thread
Sorry Saltaire I do agree with every single word as do most on here but I still get pissed off when fans of other clubs (deservedly) criticise us. Especially when they state the bleedin obvious and just repeat what we've been saying. Just think it's none of their business that's all. I'm also still fucking annoyed at the reult as well which may have something to do with it.SaltaireBantam wrote:Not going to happen pal, not over 2 legs. He did what he does, works hard.Wells has something and it'll be interesting to see how far he goes, the rest? Journeymen, and we had 4 "starters" out.

Anyway, good luck for the season. I really hope all your players were registered correctly

Sorry Leyton, didn't mean to rub it in.............
Anyway, what sort of fookin kit was that?
One to be proud of? One to fire you up with pride & enthusiasm? Was it really purple and black stripy bits? Very Arsenal, FFS! Tbh I liked that one when you looked like Bradford.

Re: Bradford match thread
That kit isn't one to be proud of, just the latest Nike monstrosity we're forced to tolerate as an away kit. Seeing Arsenal lose in that way, on television, wearing that shit away kit....it pretty much checks all the necessary boxes.
Let Adidas have a go

Re: Bradford match thread
I agree with Leyton, it's hard to argue after another poor performance but why don't you concentrate on your club Saltaire rather than our away kit and crap defence? If you want a discussion, hang about. If you are here to take the piss out of Arsenal, do one. No disrespect but the problems at Arsenal are bigger than your world cup final tonight.

Re: Bradford match thread
Wilshere had heart.
Cazorla tried.
But the whole shebang is hampered by unstructured efforts at getting forward.
You cannot plan a game 100%, but the way we play smacks of there being truth in the rumours that we train without spending enough time on set pieces, and with too much "pretty" short passing at the expense of other more organised attacking.

I think I know now Which is the correct Garden though !
Iggle Piggle up front and the midfield trio of the Tombliboos macca packka as the DM and Upsy Daisy as Cheerleader.
Haboos are us ,all aboard the Ninky Nonk, it might work !

Congratulations to Bradford who were everything we are not: Hungry, motivated, organised, Trojan-like, difficult to break down, strong, confident, together and honest.

Re: Bradford match thread
This was 100x more embarrassing then the 8-2 for me. I am trying to be more philosophical in defeat this season - its just not worth getting wound up wondering why midtable-virtual trophy (at a push) players aren't playing above themselves. But this takes the fucking biscuit and I'm livid. Where was the effort and pride? Tear this team apart, keep Wilshere, Gibbs and Jenkinson - the rest can fucking jog.
As for the manager - striker and a CM on the wings, shit winger up front. When it was clear that our tippy tappy was just never going to cut it he did nothing. Credit to Bradford but really any team in the football league could congest their 18 yard area, run around a bit and have a couple of workhorses up front. And against the vast majority of PL teams they'd get fuck all. Man Utd would have torn them apart in second gear - they'd have a couple of players on the wing who could cross a ball and an actual striker in the middle. Suddenly Bradford can no longer just squeeze one part of the pitch when we're in possession.
Fuck Arsenal, fuck Wenger and fuck the lazy wage thieves.
But hey, I've not worked 30 years in football.
