Re: Bradford match thread
He's becoming more and more like Dalglish. Refuses to give a straight answer to tough questions, no explanations as to what's going wrong, no acceptance of continued failure, and the conduct of a desperate man in interviews and on the sidelines.

Welcome to the party. You're about 12 months too late because he was equally as shit all last season we just had players that stepped up and made him look better by getting positive results.Dan_85 wrote:I hate to sound like Yankee_Gooner_Dandee but Ramsey is truly awful. How many times has he given it away already?!
It's okay though, you can say you're fashionably late

Re: Bradford match thread
I'd love to say that we were robbed (York City in the early 80's) or kicked out of it by some Northern neanderthals (Bolton and Blackburn on numerous occasions).... But we weren't! Bradford just played football.....and for much of the game played it better than we did.
Bradford's work rate in the first half was tremendous and when they did start to tire they had the sense to slow the game down - and use up time at goal kicks etc. Don't think anyone would begrudge them the right to do that given their lowly status.
Thought most of our foreign players treated it like a training knockabout....maybe the consequence of asking well paid "stars" to play on a cold midweek evening in a competition that Wenger had made clear was his 5th most important "trophy". Hard to believe that the reserves/youth would have done worse, having put 13 goals past Coventry and Reading in the previous two rounds!
I rate Ramsey as a player. But he should never pull on an Arsenal shirt again. Same with Gervinho - albeit not sure that I ever rated him in the same way.
Was amazed last night, not with the lack of anti-Wenger chants (although there was a fairly vocal minority around me), but with those fans who still find it in them to sing in support of the man..... Quite funny when the "sizeable minority" joined the Bradford fans in "sacked in the morning"!
My day was complete when I managed to run over a cone on the M1 on the way home....and found out that its done at least £3500 of damage to the electrics and also needs a paint job on the bumper..... Still, could have been worse if the Bradford fan I was walking back to the car with hadn't steered me down a slightly different route rather than through the dozen or so w*nk*rs in the city centre who seemed to be on the look out for stragglers....

Re: Bradford match thread
Would it be helpful if I suggested that the uncertainty over Wenger's future is impacting on the team's performances and that perhaps the best solution is to give the great man an 8 year contract like Pardew

SteveO I'd forgotten about his 8-year deal!!! That's fucking priceless.
Worst thing about it is that their good season last year has rekindled their delusions of grandeur. They'll want him gone within a year, I guarantee it. Crazy crazy crazy crazy Geordies.

So you don't think we should tie Lord Wenger down until 2020 then mate?northbank123 wrote:SteveO I'd forgotten about his 8-year deal!!! That's fucking priceless.

Re: Bradford match thread
We might as well just give him the job for life fella. This board will never have the bottle to sack him anyway so may as well appease his most ardent fans and put the rest of us out of our misery. It's the hope that kills you.SteveO 35 wrote:So you don't think we should tie Lord Wenger down until 2020 then mate?northbank123 wrote:SteveO I'd forgotten about his 8-year deal!!! Could well be true, but it's the usual goal.com BS with zero quotes, facts or sources to back up their claims.mcdowell42 wrote:http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/pre ... um=twitter
