But 100k per week on Walcott, up from current deal (guessing 60k per week?), without 60k per week on Squillacchi, leaves us 20k per week up.

What bothers me the most is the reaction of the people to this rumour.... Had this happened two or three seasons ago, no one would be bothered the slightest that we lost Walcott to whoever wanted him. Now we've come to the state where it's as if we're losing our best asset. FFS! It's Walcott!
I dread the near future when Gervinho eventually finds a way to put two or three assists all together and we all get upset because we're about to lose one of our best players.... And don't tell me it's not comparable coz I've seen Walcott in the past be as poor as Gervinho is nowadays!!!

But fact is Walcott is top scorer with 10 goals, and he has missed a few games.

The continued dilution of talent year on year since 2006 is shocking ,there is only 1 for sure and a max of 3 players that would get into the squad of the 2006 team let alone the starting 11 !

The Others would struggle to even get into Terry Neils teams of the early '80's !

Back in the day top scorer meant top scorer in the league and 4 goals in that is not much of a return to be fair quartz. In fact 5 of his goals came in the capital one cup - 2 against a side currently sitting in 15th place in league 1 (coventry) and 3 against half a reading team so please dont quote 10 goals cos it is woefully woefully misleading if taken at face value.
I will also say again that I think that wally is worth keeping but not as a first 11 player and certainly not at 100k per week. I'm sick of people pointing out other excessive wages being paid to the likes of shitatchi as justification to pay feo 100k per week but since when does overpaying 1 player cancel out the overpaying of another ? :? The same fans making this argument will be the same fans slating the club for misappropriation of the wage bill if wally continues to contribute fleetingly over the next few years so isnt it about time we redressed the wage bill ? Wally may well go to another club and improve as a player but again if fans are suggesting that on the basis that ferguscum will improve him, shouldnt they then factor in the fact that wally would be playing under wenger for the next few years if he stayed and if the french c**t has been holding him back then he will continue to do so in coming years only it would then be costing us 100k per week into the bargain

Understandably fans are now in total despair at the continual drain of talent from our club and are therefore clutching at the hope of not losing anymore players regardless of actual talent. I will point out though that we lost song in the summer and it's doubtful if even 5% of the fans were sorry to see him go so it isnt really the amount of players that are leaving that is the problem. Credit to feo cos he is a well oiled pr machine and nowadays people can make a good career in football in football if they are well managed - there is no doubt that he has improved as a player but again it is my opinion that he hasnt improved to the level of 100k per week and I would suggest that had a club have come in with a 15m bid last june most of ye would have been quite ok with selling him but now that he is on the verge of walking away for fcuk all money or walking away on a free then his value to us has multiplied

By far and away the most depressing aspect of that picture is the "still at the club" useless piece of shit, back row, first on the left

So we've sold the decent ones and kept the only goalkeeper I've ever seen at the club that makes George Wood look like old safe hands

Thing is Quartz, people have been talking of a clear-out for years and saying about how x has been soaking up £40k a week and he'll be gone so we'll have that money next year. We got rid of Almunia last year apparently soaking up £50+k a week but yet our wage bill has risen yet again with no improvement on the field. Mainly because we gave Rosicky a ludicrous new deal.

We'll get rid of Squillaci and a few others this summer soaking up wages but we'll waste most of that on unnecessary improved contracts for the likes of Jenkinson, Ramsey, Frimpong, Coquelin and Mannone. It's what we do.

Wenger has £50m to spend in January according to Gazidis. Someone is lying here and Wenger is the only party not speaking, I think that is because he is guilty.

The *word censored* will spunk more of our money reserves away on dross like Podolski, Gervinho and Chamakh.

Wenger has said in the past that he doesn't like spending in Jan. as it smacks of panic buying. If he spends anything even vaguely large in transfer fees we will see whether he is panicked or not

That is ridiculous, calling Podolski dross. The bloke isn't even with us half a season yet, is being constantly played out of position by a manager with no man-management skills or ideas about tactics and/or getting the best out of his players.
