As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

next year he'll return to his former club atletico mineiro, where he'll probably hang his boots.
Good luck to the fella - never acted like a jumped up tosser when he was out of the side, always stuck to his role with discipline and was an underrated player for us in an era when we had so many great ones
Agreed. Played a vital role (almost sweeper like) across the middle often covering both full backs when they stormed forward.
Except in his last season with us, when his legs had gone and he often looked like a drunk shambling around the place yelling "Ah fookin' love yoo, mon!"
Arsenal players will be forced into taking significant wage cuts if they fail to qualify for the Champions League.
The club are currently attempting to tie down a clutch of their core players to long-term contracts.
But Sportsmail can reveal those new deals will include Champions League failure clauses that will essentially result in players taking home less money if they fail to make Europe’s elite competition.
Fucking embarrassing, if I was Bacary Sagna I would tell them to fuck off if they expect me to play out the rest of my career on the threshold of 4th/5th. Far too good a player to be motivated by mere CL qualification and I've yet to see anything that's convinced me he will stay.

truth, i can't hate players for leaving to win something. Management expects players like Sagna and Wilshere to stay, be underpaid relative to their peers, competing for the 4th place trophy get knocked out of the CL year after year, and help the club pay off its debts whilst giving the fans the shakedown.

Sagna is history sadly - the club are offering him a 1 year extension like he's some kind of old man. All part of the Kroenke Inc. game plan - sell another top international player, overpromote the promising young kid in Jenkinson and play him for 40 games wondering why he suffers a drop in form, and have a 17 year old from the youth team as a back-up
