Steve O's Xmas party thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Steve O's Xmas party thread

Post by Arsenal Till I Die »

SteveO 35 wrote:I don't think I can wait until next Summer for the big Arsene love-in celebration round at mine

I was thinking of an "There's Only One Arsene Wenger" Christmas Party, if we're in the Virtual Trophy places by the time we've played Reading and Wigan.

Anyone fancy it? Rodders, augie, sid, falkirk goon, N1 Goon, Arsenal till I die, surely I can count on you boys to pop round and share some 'very good spirit' and raise a glass to our great leader at this festive time

:barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:
100%

I'll bring my Away Boyz CD and print us all festive t-shirts which read ''Walking In A Wenger Wonderland''

Let's unveil that alongside the statue of Gervinho and Wenger shaking hands in Steve O's back garden :barscarf:

I've split this off into another thread. Thought it might be amusing on a cold wet winter's day!

Would be good to see you all there boys. By the way the Wenger and Gervinho statue might look a bit odd as they both have one hand raised in the air almost for no apparent reason, but what you can't see is the virtual trophy that they are both holding

Now, does anyone know the phone numbers of the those two little crackers who went to Old Trafford, so I can get them to hold up the "Who knew Van Persie 8 yrs ago" banner? :D

Unfortunately I don't have Pippa's ever so useful book to help plan my parties, so in terms of the checklist:

Music - Away Boyz, followed by Lord Wenger's carol service
Drinks - a wide selection of very good spirits and hot beers
Hostesses - those two lovely ladies who held the banner aloft at OT on that very proud day in the club's history

Who else is chipping in here ?

Guest appearance by the Pogues for the grand finale

It was christmas eve babe
And the team stank
An old man sold Nasri: and won't sign anyone
And then he sold A Song
The rare old signings few
I turned my face away, and dreamed of 8-2
Got a lucky one-one
Scraped up at Ever-ton
I´ve got a feeling
City’s for Theo too
So happy christmas
I love you Arsene
I can see a shitty time
When your contract renews....

We’ve got no superstars
He ignores Stevie Bould
Watch Swansea cut through you
But he still won’t be told
“30 years I have managed, you still don’t believe
You must wait till May, until you can judge me”
Giroud’s handsome, but shitty
Couldn’t play for York City when The Forehead is playing they yelled out “No more”
The fans were all sitting, too pissed off to be singing
We pissed lots of corners
Had one shot all night.

And the boys from the Evening Standard all said “Judge Arsene in May”
And the praise was ringing out from Pat Bar-clay.

Lost to Brum, we were sunk
Arsene tuts, “What bad luck”
Lying there faces red, virtual trophy instead
Sign Fat Frank, sell Walcott
Loan Henry, that’s your lot
Happy christmas Lord Arse, and lets hope it’s your last.

And the boys from the Evening Standard all said “Judge Arsene in May”
And the praise was ringing out from Pat Bar-clay.

He could have signed someone
Chose a kid from League One
Took Carl from the Valley
Then we lost eight two
Kept Andrey, and the Dane
Then put them out on loan
Can´t help but fucking moan
Our dreams have been killed by you

And the boys from the Evening Standard all said “Judge Arsene in May”
And the praise was ringing out from Pat Bar-clay

Pinning the tail on the Giroud is another party classic that we should consider

We should also play Arsenal Monopoly.

A four player game.

The one who has the most money and finishes 4th wins :barscarf:
