Steward… Houston – We have a problem (6 Dec)
Stewards & Viewing
Sorry but you are totally selfish. Whilst you're jumping up and down in the air what about the person behind you who has also paid but now cant see the match. People like you make me sick, selfish, selfish, selfish. I had the same problem last year at Highbury with some moron who kept leaping to his feet holding his arms out and swearing. I repeated and politely told him not to 3 times until he turned around and told me to F*** Off. I told him if he did it again his face would go thjrough the back of his head. He did it again and I smacked him, never saw him afater that. I would do the same to you. If the steward says sit, you sit

hi my fellow gooners , i for one have been a steward at arsenal , i left cos it was like being in the army !!! do this ,do that , i know u have a job too do , but please use your common sense steward s, fan,s pay good hard earn money for they seats .
Heavy handed stewards
I was at the Fulham match and was man-handled by some very over confident stewards when I was leaving. Anyone else had this problem since we moved to the new stadium?

Arsenal v man shitty right near the shitty fans they were giving it and wen we were givin as much as we got (jus a bit of bantor) the stewrds kept telling us to calm down and they were bricking it and didnt say f*ck all to the shitty fans, and at 1 point a steward shouted tp me, turn round and watch the game, so i replied with well u watch the game to and stop watchin me then.

Terracing is an idea but with the inherant safety risks im not all that keen. I feel like this standing and sitting issue is not in the open enough. I believe people should be able to jump up and down and stand for chanting but i dont believe persistant standing should be allowed where there is not a constant standing policy adopted by the fans like we have for many away games. I for one enjoy the away games more because of that standing atmosphere and the passion that ensues. I suppose you could aruge that alot of the people who whinge and moan about standers don't contribute enough to the atmosphere. Im sure this sin't the case with anyone in here but numerous times ive been ivolved with arguments inside the stadium where supporters have the nerve to tell people to shut up and sit down when they get passionate then have the damn nerve to piss and moan when the stadium lacks atmosphere. Portsmouth at home grinded my gears big time. The guy sitting next to me asked me what the pompey fans were chanting then proceeded to tell me how he had never been to a game before and his company had loaned him out the seat for the day just so he had something to do. It saddens me that people like him are afforded the opportunity of a season ticket and I am sitting in the waiting list behind potential inuits like him.

With good policing and no fencing there is no real serious risk to safety from terracing.
You have to remember that in the days of terracing people had a consumer choice, stand up and watch football with the liberty to sing and make as much noise as you wanted, or sit in the east or west stands and watch with the reasonable expectation that people would be orderly and not be jumping up and down blocking your view

Shifty, i will pay 30-60 odd quid a game i do what i want i have paid money as much as the person behind/next to/ and in front of me has, i wanna go to make noise stand up and sing and cheer if the twat next to me behind or in front of me dont like it, then whose problems that then. If they wanna pay however much for a tkt do they expect every1 around em to sit down *quiteley* around them to fulfill there wishes, i dont think so....also if some1 in front stands up, then wat do u do, sit there and watch the back of em, tell em to sit down coz u cant see, then prob get knocked the fuck out....NO!!!! you dont, you stand up and join in, that is why we have some crappy atmospheres coz ppl like *shitty* dont join in!!!!
Now let that be a lesson to all you sit downers, sitting is not the atmosphere we want, we wanna stand sing and win!!!
thats about it for now.....
