Reading Away Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Our shower of bottlers and halfwit senile manager have shown time and time again that pressure is something they don't handle well.
I will stick my neck out here and say categorically that we won't win this game, Wigan will then be even tougher and we will lose that one.
I'm with you Sid. Go back to the start of the Bradford thread and there were many 4 or 5 goal trouncing predictions. I'll also stick my neck out and say that this Arsenal side won't score more than 3 goals in any game between now and the end of the season. There isn't 4 goals in this side. Yes there was a freak 7-5 between two sets of reserves and six against a League One team and a Southampton side finding their feet. But now everyone is scrapping for survival we won't score 4 against anyone. Having no strikers surprisingly is proving a hinderance - who would have thought that eh?
:oops: :lol: :lol:

:wink:
:oops: Still think we will lose to Wigan, I over estimated Reading rather than under estimating us.
Didn't watch the game last night, checked latest score on Ceefax and fucked off to bed at 3-0.
I will be completely honest, the result pissed me off, my sole agenda now is Wenger's demise and all this does is prolong it, and any gooner who sees the result as anthything other than a Wenger lifeline, has lost sight of the woods for the trees.

But not possible, mate. I'm sure it was only 17 seconds. Which would still be a record for him of course... :wink:

Typical example of Niall Quinn punditry;

"Ya see, that there Walcott is fast, the Reading defenders don't like this not one bit, they don't."

"That there Chamberlain is also fast, they don't like that either."

Stunning, life-changing match analysis you have come to expect from Quinn.

Niall Quinn is the Oliver Holt of punditry, except he has the decency to sit on the fence regarding Wenger and not shoot off verbal Diarrhea like Holt and Barclay.

That could only be true if he stumbled over his words, sighed and groaned every couple of minutes before finally managing to hit himself in the face with the microphone
