Start of what? Any footballer who had the career Davids had could take his pick of a League Two club to join in whatever capacity. If nothing else it will get people through the gates. The bloke has done absolutely nothing to prove himself as a coach or a manager.

That is what I'll always remember from that game. Not seeing van Basten and Cruyff on a football pitch, not saying goodbye to Dennis, not our new stadium, but a player of very limited ability chopping down a distinguished twat.

As I remember he got back up to miss the pen and then lost the game.
