I would never sign anyone from United purely because Ferguson would rather die than sell us a player that might improve us, even though we're miles off competing with them.

Can't stand him, but it's not about liking players anymore is it!

I'd happily have Nani. I reckon he's streets ahead of our other wide options. Whether his wages and/or price tag make that feasible is another matter altogether though.

But would a player playing for the biggest club in the world want to join a "wee club" from London :rubchin:
I thought he's still playing for Manchester United :?

I'd take Nani in an instant.

If we wanted Nani surely we should have used him as a bargaining tool when we made it so hard for RVP to go to them!

That's just it though, we've never done this, even with the outgoing player deals we've done to Man City or Barca, the club just want cash on the hip, greedy, greedy *word censored*.

And if we were gonna go that route then trying to sign Hernandez would make (a bit) more sense given that we don't play a system compatible with your traditional type of winger so the portugese c**t would freelance and leave our full backs even more exposed than they currently are

Im not keen on signing Nani because he already played in the Prem League with an average success rate. Why would he improve in a team worse than United. It makes no sense. We will still keep Gervinho and have Podolski and Ox. It will be a replacement signing for Walcott and Walcott is streets ahead of Nani so again WE LOSE.

Nani would be a waste of space, hes average in a great side plus Fergie very rarely gets it wrong,if a player is sold by united its because they cant offer fuck all,why would we want a player not good enough for united,he'd only stuggle even further with us

after watching Gibbs fall asleep yet again during the newcastle match we need Baines!!!!gibbs is a bloody liability, i dont care if he owes us something for bringing him through the youth ranks,he's a back up left back at best,he will cost us time and time again, now we've finally sorted the gk position out the weak link is left back, i bet Wenker will continue to let this be our achilles heel :banghead:

Yeah agree.

Been texting friends all game, saying we should splash out on Baines the money that is being touted as earmarked for Nani, and use Gibbs left midfield at times.

Arsenal in pole position to sign £5m-rated Southampton left-back Shaw

By Joe Bernstein

.

It’s advantage Arsenal in the chase for £5million left-back Luke Shaw, a Premier League regular for Southampton at 17.

Arsene Wenger has signed Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from the club and will use that relationship to move for Shaw as Chelsea are also interested.

Wenger is looking to add to his options at left-back with Brazilian flop Andre Santos nearing the exit door and Kieran Gibbs' niggling injury problems continuing to interrupt his progress.
