As somebody who does a bit of sailing (ooh er missus) can I recommend Ocean Village marina. Less than a mile from the ground but not very busy. There a spoons http://www.jdwetherspoon.co.uk/home/pub ... ius-curtis
a place called Banana Wharf (this where all the bananas used to come into the UK before containers) and a Piano and Pitcher, plus a view of lots of lovely boats.

Away's are generally more enjoyable than the home matches in terms of atmosphere (depending on the result obviously) hope you enjoy it dPmunky

Haven't been there for years but I remember going to the Le Tissier Legs which I seem to remember being quite decent and having FA cup final programmes going back decades framed on the wall.
