AC Milan walk off after racist chants

Post by armchair »

Kevin-Prince Boateng lifts the ball and boots it into the stands at the Pro Patria fans who were apparantely guilty of racist chants. The rest of the Milan team walked off in support of their black players and disgust at the chanting

Good on them, I do like the fact it mentions that the rest of the ground were just as annoyed with those chanting. I'd be fuming if idiots like that ruined a day at the footie for me.

On his way from the pitch, Boateng applauded sections of the crowd, who then reacted angrily towards the corner of the ground from which the chants came.

Doubtless that a uefa fine of £52.49 is heading the way of Pro Patria as we speak

I wish the England kids had done the same thing in Serbia. Fucking jokers - agree that UEFA will probably fine Boateng for inciting violence whilst AC will receive a club fine for walking off

I doubt UEFA will do anything as this was a friendly it is probably up to the Italian FA to sort out any fine. Hopefully the Italian FA hand out a large fine, though I guess Pro Patria loosing future revenue from friendlies with top Italian sides is the best we can hope for as no one will want to be seen to play them again for a while.
