Poor old Rio

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I absolutely agree. But as a footballer, or anybody with some "celebrity" status, you have to be aware that you're going to rile some people up with even the slightest thing. He should know better.

Personally i don't think it was a joke but its easy afterwards to say 'only joking' deep down he knows he wasn't joking. . . and as for cash he earns it doesnt make a difference to say someone working nights during NYE he can have a new years eve style party any other day of the week buy throwing his cash about, therefore it makes his comments even more silly
