It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

it does. like bentdner, denilson, arshavin, chamakh etc Djourou is probably on 60k a week and no-one will pay it.
we signed these players on such high contracts that they won't take a pay cut and no-one will pay them our wages.
i admit it though, that to sign a player to a five year deal then try to sell him 12 months later is bizarre.i can only think that uncle bouldy has given AW some home truths.

That's my point... it doesn't make sense. Not considering we've only just given him a [ridiculous] new bumper contract
Ah but you're thinking from the perspective of a pleb who hasn't worked half a day in football and who exists only to line the pockets of Wenger and his cronies who employ him but who he ultimately controls.
Try putting yourself into the mind of the deluded one. Djourou is one of Wengers babies and he loves him. Why else would he refuse the option to buy? He wants Djourou back.

It makes perfect sense in Wengerville.
I find that hard to believe - I reckon Wenger would have sold him if a bid came in. However, I doubt Hannover would have got anywhere near Djourou's wage demands, so a loan was surely the only possible option on the cards.
That daft new contract we gave him in Feb 2012 will weigh us down just like it has with Chamakh, Almunia, Park, Bendtner, Denilson, Squillaci, etc.
I predict multiple loans over the coming years for Djourou. Hopefully he plays well enough for Hannover to convince someone [anyone!] to buy him...

I m done with this thread..
welcome to the mcdowell's (aka: me me me me me me me) transfer thread is utter shyte and only serves to add to the already heavy weight of ever burdening depression that is Arsenal in 2013.
