Hmm... I think I'll trust Wenger's opinion over yours, thank you very much. After all, you haven't worked a day in football!

And what was Wenger's opinion on Flappy...

Wenger - Fabianski will be a world great

Wenger: "I think he will be one of the best goalkeepers in the world. I firmly believe that."

Yeah, what do we know. In Arsene We Trust! :cussing: :cussing:

Exactly the point i am making.Fabianski is shit but has never been the regular No 1 that is why he has only mde 27 league appearances since we signed him in May 2007.There are plenty of players who have been shit.Stephenovs was awful but was he pound for pound worse than Gerviniho? No chance.Wengers record on keepers aint great.Rami Shaaban.Remember him.

Going to put an early shout in for Giroud for this thread.

Howard Webb has more pace then Giroud.

In a years' time we will be talking about Giroud like we currently talk about Chamakh. Chamakh's first half season (the only time he actually played regularly) was far more impressive than Giroud's so far IMO.

i think you are right,i hope not.i cant help but think what was the fucking point in signing Giroud,we have big nose who is no better or worse and camel who again is no better or worse than big nose.we should have just stuck with NB53 rather than wasting some £20m on two more carbon copies.bendtner must be pissing himself right now ,we tried to better him and have only managed to emulate him.....TWICE!!! :banghead:

Re Giroud, why or why do the fans come out with his song after his 10 yard wayward shot in the 2nd half... :? :?

I'm not saying Giroud is the best centre forward (or ever will be) at our Great club, but let's GIVE THE GUY A CHANCE!!

Thats what they were saying about Gervinho last season and Chamakh the year before and Vela the year before and Bendtner the year before.

Are we a football club or a charity for useless strikers?

Dont worry Giroud will still be at the club in 5 years time one thing Wenger does is give shit a chance

Maybe our scouts are to blame.

spendsum4uckingmoney wrote:That article was fucking atrocious. As bad as Vela was we made a profit. Eduardo was a fantastic player. Not his fault the Prem has fucking awful defenders. Bendtner scored quite a few of the bench.

Worst for me are:

Jeffers
Wright
Van Bronckhorst
Cygan
Reyes
Senderos
Diaby
Gervinho
Squillachi
Santos
Senderos gets very unfairly slated by Arsenal fans. Yes, Drogba ran rings around him - as he did to many other defenders - but there were times when he was excellent (namely the 2005 FA Cup Final, in which he played a blinder).

In 2005, he came third in the Arsenal.com fans' player of the season poll - no mean feat, considering that Henry, Bergkamp, Vieira, Pires, Ljungberg, Fabregas etc. were all at the club. He also won the fans' player of the month award for April 2005.

Although he was never the sharpest knife in the draw, he was an honest professional and always gave 100% - none of this bling, prima donna bullshit that currently infests the PL. Like Ray Parlour, I'd always prefer a solid hard-worker dedicated to the cause than a technically-gifted player who couldn't give a shit (like Arshavin).

Ultimately, he didn't fulfil his initial potential, and probably wasn't quite good enough to fill the boots of the likes of Tony Adams, Martin Keown and Sol Campbell. But one of the worst AW signings of all time? Nah, I'm just not having it.
