Suarez again !!
Luis Suarez cheated yesterday to score a goal that Liverpool ultimately needed to knock a non league club out of the FA Cup...It's amazing to hear his manager and supporters say otherwise.
Re: Suarez again !!
Goal should have been disallowed but the reaction is overblown because it is Suarez. Don't get me wrong, the guy is a
but if Mansfield had scored that goal it would have been due to the magic of the cup. Even the Mansfield manager said he would have happily taken the goal if one of his had scored it

Hate this *word censored* so much. Hate even more how those scousers stick up for him like he's never guilty of anything.
Hopefully more incidents happen and the media continues to hound him then barca or Madrid come for him in the summer. Would love to read what everyone on the red and white kop forums would have to say after he transfers. Of course they would blame the media, the FA, and Ferguson for running him off.

This was on the way into the ground, ignoring the kid looking for an autograph. He's proved time and time again what a vile piece of vermin he is.

That kid is obviously a Yorkshire Policeman working in tandem with the Southern biased media to deny Liverpool their correct place as the greatest team in the World. So Suarez was correct to blank him.rodders999 wrote:This was on the way into the ground, ignoring the kid looking for an autograph. He's proved time and time again what a vile piece of vermin he is.
The general media (Sky) view today is that if it was any other player it would be forgotten by now. Bollix if it had been Shelvey or Henderson that done it Mansfield would still be out of the cup and denied a deserved replay at Anfield. And God forbid but imagine if an Arsenal player had cheated to knock a non league team out of the cup. I accept these things happen in football and it's up to the officials to police the game and not the players. But I can't bear to listen to a defence being mounted the following day.

The difference being that HAD Mansfield scored in the same manner AND Won the Financial Ramifications and Benefits are HUGE compared to how liverpool will benefit from being involved in the next round....Skooner wrote:Goal should have been disallowed but the reaction is overblown because it is Suarez. Still hey ho! that's Football I guess....still being robbed by a scouser shouldn't come as a shock to anyone

Mr Sewerage. (suarez)

Re: Suarez again !!
We kind of did with Kanu (not non league) also we won by the letter of the law, it was just unsporting, we still gave them a replay and beat them, but we are still hounded for it. So if Liverpool are to show any class as they cheated (not just unsporting behavior by them) they should follow the example we set for just such a situation.Bradywasking wrote:That kid is obviously a Yorkshire Policeman working in tandem with the Southern biased media to deny Liverpool their correct place as the greatest team in the World. Re: Suarez again !!
Offer a replay, are you joking? The Sheffield United incident was completely unique in that it wasn't an instant reaction, and it just sat so wrongly given the sanctity of giving the ball back to the opposition in those circumstances, especially back then.
It even looks as though Suarez even tries to pull his arm out the way of the ball, as Rodgers says it's not his job to referee. Although some people think that because Robbie Fowler, a decade and a half ago, once corrected the referee AFTER he had dived and waited for the penalty to be awarded then the game should be self-regulated.
It's a poor refereeing decision and tough on the defending side but the incident is hardly a remarkable one and will undoubtedly occur up and down the country each Saturday in varying forms. Literally any other player (bar perhaps John Terry) and it wouldn't have reached top story on BBC, not even nearly. Are we going to be outraged if next week somebody scores from a corner that was given because the attacker appealed for it even though he got the last touch?
I despise Suarez as much as the next man and his pathetic gesture of kissing his hand sums him up, but this really is a storm in a teacup. Does anyone really think that any of our players would have stopped the game had that happened with them?

Re: the Fowler dive I was 2nd row from front in the North Bank and saw and heard it all. At no stage did that cheat say it wasn't a Pen. He was saying don't send him off.

Re: Suarez again !!
I think Suarez did intentionally handle the ball yesterday, it wasn't premeditated because that would be impossible , but in my opinion he moved his hand to the ball to gain an advantage . Obviously this was a reaction but it was cheating. He has form and he should be slammed in the media for it. The Kanu one against Sheffield Utd was different as it was allegedly an interpretation of a custom (or non interpretation of a custom to be exact). 14 years later when Arsenal win a free or an Arsenal player goes down injured we hear the "same old Arsenal, always cheating" shite. For me the defending of Suarez is as bad as the act itself.

Re: Suarez again !!
Have you not been on a sports website or picked up a newspaper? It's still on the front page of BBC and SkySports and I'd wager it made it on to the back pages this morning. He is getting slammed in front of the media, completely disproportionately so, what more do you want?
As I said do you think any other player would have reacted differently? And do you expect defenders who handball a goalbound shot to hold their hands up and tell the ref to give a penalty? Should Swansea offer us the place in the next round because the defender who tripped Ramsey (allegedly, haven't seen a replay) didn't own up to the ref?
Suarez is a serial cheat and a scumbag, everybody knows that, but the reaction to this is a joke.

^ FFS. Liverpool, ever the media darling, gets an APOLOGY from ESPN because Jon Champion branded Suarez a 'cheat'. JC has been a fantastic broadcaster for years - much better than those two absolutely awful clowns Darke & McManaman
Ugh. If this results in less Jon Champion I'm going to be very disappointed.
Also: That picture above is hilarious, what timing on the part of the cameraman. To be fair though, these players are inundated with autograph requests at every corner and simply cannot realistically be expected to sign something every time it's put in front of them. The picture makes it look awful, and it's sad to see when a kid is denied an autograph, but from a purely practical perspective it happens.
