You will probably be able to take your pick

Re: 3700 season ticket waiting list
I want to sell my 'A' Bond, but I'll probably have to pay someone to take it off my hands!!

"Thank you for your enquiry. Unfortunately the Season Ticket Waiting List is still to be updated. Since the start of the season, the system database underwent a number of upgrades and there is a final programme to be installed that processes the updates. The upgrade has taken longer than originally planned, but hopefully this will be implemented shortly.
We are fully aware that updates are later than usual this season, but as soon as the system is active and waiting list positions updated, members will be notified of same on arsenal.com.
I am sorry that I do not have a more positive response for you at this stage."
Sounds BS to me.
Reads like a statement prepared by Ivan himself

Are fans allowed to sell their bonds ? Obviously I am ignorant on the subject but what exactly does having the bond entitle you to and how much did it cost in relation to its current value ? I know bonds were issued back when the north bank went all seater but being a student in Ireland back then I didn't pay much attention

Re: 3700 season ticket waiting list
Yes mate, you can sell them. They are like a 'share' as such and are valid for 150 years (from issue). At one time, when people WANTED to come to see Arsenal, they were selling for around £5k. Mine cost me £1500 in 1991.Are fans allowed to sell their bonds ? I suspect I'll be hard pushed to sell it at all now. You have to go through the company Brewer Dolphin to sell I think.
My bond entitles me to a season ticket - guaranteed. Because I gave my season ticket up 2 years ago, it guarantees me a 'silver bond' membership, which means I can apply for tickets one week ahead of any normal silver member, so I'm guaranteed a ticket for every single match if I want it. I can also have my season ticket back when I want it (but can only choose a seat that is available obviously)!

I have all this in writing from the club by the way!

My letter to ANR about ticket price increases is below.

Platinum fans abandon Arsenal in droves
By Myles Palmer
From QuartzGooner:
Hi Myles,
Glenn Dalton?
Nigel Feng is right, and here is one more reason why.
Glenn Dalton wrote that we needed perspective, that there was no crisis.
Nigel Feng wrote in to point out that Arsenal fans are footing the bill for Arsenal's lack of success.
True, but there is more to it than that.
Arsenal season tickets are divided into three categories : Gold members in the upper and lower tiers, Platinum members in Club Level and the executive Boxes, and Diamond members in the Diamond Club.
Arsenal ticket prices have risen over the last seven seasons, but our football quality has declined.
Not only have prices risen, but Ivan Gazidis made a great show of telling the fans how those prices have either been frozen for season ticket holders, or have been reduced for certain games for club members (Red and Silver members).
That is a half-truth. Season ticket prices continue to rise for Platinum members.
There is a misconception that Club Level is all corporate jollies and tourists, but plenty of long-term regular fans sit there too, albeit the wealthier ones.
Ever wondered why so many empty seats of late in Club Level? Now you know. The club insults the fans with price rises which are spun into price reductions.
Platinum fans are giving up their season tickets. The fans are losing affection for the club.

Just out of interest are you entitled to a cup final ticket in the very unlikely event that we reach one ever again?TeeCee wrote:Yes mate, you can sell them. get to a cup final......Just out of interest are you entitled to a cup final ticket in the very unlikely event that we reach one ever again?

Seriously though, no, you don't automatically get one. Best I have done for the last few finals is get into a ballot (since I stopped going to away games). But having said that, I have been lucky enough to have got a ticket for every final since 1989 except the '93 FA cup replay which I didn't apply for.

Re: Season ticket waiting list and prices
I think you normally need to have some away credits on your season ticket to be guaranteed cup final tickets. Not that it really matters these days

How can a basic waiting list take so long to update. A spreadsheet could sort that job out in 30 mins. Bit like waiting for our new signings to arrive. No doubt the club's commercial and IT departments are working 'day and night' to update the list in what is a difficult market

How can they keep up with the technology that is available to Man City, Chelsea or Man. Utd? In 2014, however, they are confident that they will have the ability to compete with Europe's best clubs when it comes to updating waiting lists.SteveO 35 wrote:How can a basic waiting list take so long to update. They're probably trying to work out the order of priority of the thousands of time wasters who deferred... Dilemas such as does "My neighbour's dogs died" come before "I was abducted by aliens"?
